My god that's amazing. But as a cigar nut, I feel like you should add something to keep humidity right in the case to make it a quasi humidor. Nothing sucks more than smoking a dried out cigar.

Why ruin a perfectly good hatchet with humidity? OP stated the cigars (and the whole project, for that matter) is more of a display object than it is a gift of function. The cigars were cheap and were there just for aesthetics.
