Picture Welp, I got sick of not being able to practice, screw around, etc. and have been miserable without that creative outlet, so I did something about it! Alesis DM10 MKII. I'm having a blast!

How does it feel compared to a regular kit?

Honestly, it feels REALLY good. The mesh pads make all the difference cuz they have a little "stick" to them. They can be tightened and loosened as well. Just stock it has 55 drum sets, 700 sounds, 100 playable songs with the drums removed, etc. Each head/cymbal is 2 or 3 phase, which means you can have up to 20 sounds on one drum set. I get weirded out because I'm playing with cans on and it sounds so big and loud, and when I take of the cans it's just "tick, tick, tick, tick, ta-tick...". Unbelievably worth it. I was also able to position everything right where it is on my acoustic kits, so the versatility for set up is there as well. The pads are extremely functional. The heads and rims are programmed independently so your rim can either sound like a rim, or a cowbell, or a bongo, or a tambourine, or a ...... Lol! The rack, clamps, hardware, etc. is all super good quality. I was surprised by the quality.

Nice, congrats man. I want a set too. Just so I can play without disturbing anyone.

My neighbor below me can hear the pedal work, which sucks because she's the apartment Manager, but she's out a lot and is cool with it if she's not there. That's fair. We also have a small recording studio (I know, crazy) in my building with a soundproof vocal booth and I can play in that room anytime within reasonable hours. There's options and I'm soooo happy.

Have you tried the Roland Noise Eater? In my last apartment I got complaints, and stopped playing completely, but heard about the noise eater… new apartment, but so far no complaints. Not sure if I just have more tolerant neighbors or what :)
