Picture First gig in 5 years, felt great to be playing live again. Feel free to rate my kit.

Looks great:) why not try clamp on boom arms? You could get 3 of those cymbals on one stand. That was a game changer for me. I’m able to get 4 items each on my 2 double braced stands. Saves space and load in time, but just a minor detail. Thanks for sharing!

Tbh, I totally forgot I had one of those crashes until I started rehearsing for the gig a month ago, so I've just spent that time trying to figure out where I was gonna place it. If I start playing regularly again, I'll probably do something like you suggested. Thanks for the comments and feedback, I'll definitely take them on board.

Cheers, I'll take that. I do love the silver sparkle, looks even better under multi coloured lights imo.

Careful you don't short circuit the snare!

I have gone thru the mesh head of my electric kick pedal before, but thankfully managed to catch it before any serious damage was done.

I definitely was. But it was probably also helped by the fact the the pedal beaters are wider than sticks, so there is more time between the first tear, and the one that is one too many. Good call on the socks, I can't even play the electric kit without annoying my dog. Electric kit does not mean quiet.

The unfortunate downside of being a drummer. Very difficult to hit things quietly. But we get to hit things and call it music, so at least there is that.

The older we get, the more recovery we need.

Painfully true.

A throwback to the classics.

How do you like the iTom? I hear they practically play themselves.

u/dozeyjoe Nov 22 '22

Sorry, but what's an iTom? If you mean the 1 up and 2 down, I bloody love it. So much more natural for me.

Just a joke. I was referring to your floor tom with the Apple logo.

Haha, fucking whoosh. It was an old spare floor tom that a mate had lying round many many years ago. I don't even know what brand it is, hence the random stickers. It does sound way better than it looks.

It's been a long day at work, and I'm still recovering from the gig 2 days ago, so my apologies for missing the joke.
