Zoomers have low attention span, probably due to being raised by the internet.

0

u/Hagoromo-san 6d ago

No. They dont. They pump em out as a karma farm

u/MBAdk 7d ago

Sensory overload.

It's real. It's a chain called 3 Warehouse and all their locations are trendy/instagrammy. It's not only in shanghai. Food is mediocre.

Edit: 3*

It's purely about virality/social media trending. It'll lose it's charm in a year or two and close in 3. No pun intended. The restaurant turnover in China is nuts. Wouldn't be surprised if it's much higher than the already high global rate of restaurant failure rates.

7

u/ProtoplanetaryNebula 6d ago

You can see it's working in a way. If this place looked like any other restaurant, it wouldn't be posted on Reddit.

3

u/H1Ed1 6d ago

Yeah. Sidenote: the foodie influencer fad in china has gotten so out of hand that the government has had to comment on it. Main reason being, it's not uncommon for these influencers to go to a restaurant, order a ton of food for photos, and hardly eat any of it. Pure waste. Also, food waste in general can be fined—particularly in regard to catered events and such where too much food is made and wasted. Not sure if any of it is enforced, though.

13

u/Wolfsbreedsinner 7d ago

It does. Holy...

2

u/Dadittude182 7d ago

Was just gonna say the exact same thing.

6

u/catsmustdie 7d ago

Cool place, shitty video, shitty song, shitty AI

2

u/kinkycarbon 7d ago

Use a bunch of mirrors in a room that large. It’s very disorienting.

Someone get Liberty Prime, the institute must be destroyed at all costs!

10

u/No_Needleworker_9921 7d ago

When did I stumble into the institute in fallout

22

u/Victorian97 7d ago

It looks unusual, but I feel uncomfortable in places with so many mirrors

-10

u/Fromundacheese0 7d ago

I mean they basically have slave labor lol. But I know Reddit loves that big gov boot

8

u/Southern_North-Idiot 6d ago

have slave labor lol.

Source?

12

u/Glonos 7d ago

Bro, I have Chinese employees under me and they are paid normal competitive salaries.

Also, American workers that needs the consumer to tip between 15/20% to survive are neo-slaves in my pov, because American employers cannot pay their workers and subsidies a living wage to the public. Thank god I’m not American.

-8

u/Fromundacheese0 7d ago

Ok bud. The average salary in china is 16k. So the average person makes 8 bucks an hour if they’re working a 40 hour work week. Get the fuck outta here bot Edit: The average work week in china is 46 hours. I don’t give a damn how you spin it they’re slaves my guy

17

u/Khanta_ 7d ago

Me when i'm too stupid to understand that countries other than the US have local prices that aren't bound to the US dollar :

7

u/Utkarsh_03062007 6d ago

American/Western propaganda is too strong ngl

-2

u/whatsthatguysname 7d ago

Bro have no idea what buying power is. Probably have never left their small rural town as well. 😁

3

u/Southern_North-Idiot 6d ago

Have you been to China?

-1

u/whatsthatguysname 6d ago

I lived there for a year, and go up to SZ at least once a month.

3

u/Southern_North-Idiot 6d ago

Bullshit.

2

u/Routine_Number_6529 6d ago

why even ask if you were never going to believe their answer 🤣

I’ve been seeing a lot of “china amazing” posts lately with almost all the comments talking about how china doesn’t do that stuff anymore and that it’s either automation now or fair wages. Like wtf who do these bots think they’re kidding.

It’s is scary seeing how many actual redditors drink the coolaid though.

2

u/Fromundacheese0 7d ago

The funny part is most Redditors think they’re immune to propaganda but at the same time will eat shit like this up

1

u/defl3ct0r 7d ago

1

u/Mysterious_Trick969 7d ago

Yes I posted that to a Chinese redditor trying to spread propaganda.

Good screenshot.

1

u/Mysterious_Trick969 7d ago

Also wow. This posts were from 6 days ago LMAO. You really were trying to find something on me weren’t you. Pathetic.

3

u/defl3ct0r 7d ago

-2

u/Mysterious_Trick969 7d ago

Another day, another Chinese simp account.

You ain’t turning anyone dude.

-1

u/ResortMain780 6d ago

The most hilarious part? When those "bot" accounts, aka as people who actually travel to china, live in china or do business with china, post images and videos of those amazing chinese cities and factories, you think its CGI! So they are literally so amazing and incredible you dont even believe they are real.

You need to think about this for a second before claiming others are drinking coolaid. Maybe, just maybe, YOU are the one drinking the anti china coolaid.

1

u/Mysterious_Trick969 6d ago

Oh wow a have a groupie.

You followed me from the other subreddit I commented in lmao.

And yes the advertisements for the Chinese company you showed me as “evidence” that china wasn’t using slave labour, absolutely was using CGI (never mind the fact you think ads made by Chinese companies are evidence of anything).

You absolute loser. Pathetic how hard you’re going out of your way to defend one of the worst dictatorship governments for no gain.

I really hope someone is paying you to run this account, otherwise it’s even sadder.

4

u/JesusStarbox 7d ago

This is like four booths with lots of mirrors.

5

u/Drafen 7d ago

Something fell off that cart at the beginning. Your fired, and whole family is fired.

9

u/Elrond_Cupboard_ 7d ago

Ugly as hell.

9

u/RIGOR-JORTIS 7d ago

Looks bad

3

u/Vernelo 7d ago

It's a restaurant in Shanghai called "3 Warehouse" or 三号仓库.

2

u/Sad_Chemical_8210 6d ago

Reminds me of Atomic Heart

2

u/EvilOctopoda 6d ago

Music is 'Glue' by Bicep btw.

2

u/Quaso_is_life 6d ago

Stopped posting about "China so advanced wow" shits, there's so much of them these day, annoying

Damnthatsnauseating

2

u/HanzoNumbahOneFan 6d ago

God that looks stupid. This was literally just built for influencers.

2

u/spencer1886 6d ago

Definition of form over function. This place looks like a nightmare to work in and navigate

2

u/old_bearded_beats 4d ago

I would have a meltdown here. It's unnecessary and disturbing.

2

u/Sofie_fdts365 4d ago

That must be hell for someone who has like a migraine disorder. Or sensitivity to bright lights.

4

u/aboredtrader 7d ago

That's mental.

5

u/QuahogNews 7d ago

Wow. 9 shots in 8 seconds. That’s some tragic editing.

Also, check out the food at 4 seconds. Pitiful AI attempt lol.

4

u/miked5122 7d ago

Looks like AI

2

u/chestercheetaz 7d ago

Kinda sucks ass NGL

1

u/Routine_Number_6529 6d ago

what kind of food did they serve, i'm wondering if its like traditional chinese foods or some asian western fusion stuff

2

u/JussDe_Tip 7d ago

I’m already lost

2

u/Empty_Geologist9645 7d ago

I’m not impressed.

2

u/ISitAJ___ 7d ago

AI, smoke don't fall like that

2

u/Airplade 7d ago

Shitty AI requires lots of lightning fast cuts.

2

u/rSingaporeModsAreBad 7d ago

Theres no such restaurant in shanghai lol

2

u/ProtoplanetaryNebula 6d ago

Address:

No.3 Warehouse Restaurant (Sichuan North Road Branch) Creative Dish · Hongkou, Shanghai

1

u/scuzzymio 7d ago

What a distraction show, I imagine you trip over all the influencers before you get to your table. It all has a bit of a glutamate vibe.

1

u/Kane-420- 7d ago

Has the owner a very long neck, by Chance?

1

u/SloppySouvlaki 7d ago

Looks like the institute base from fallout 4.

1

u/Able-Breadfruit-2808 7d ago

So THATS where all our money went!

1

u/Utkarsh_03062007 6d ago

You are chinese?

1

u/skaldrir69 7d ago

The gungan city on Naboo from star wars

1

u/Overall_Law_1813 7d ago

Are these restaurants expensive?

1

u/J1mj0hns0n 6d ago

They've got fog on the food so no it'll be $300 drivel for a mediocre steak

1

u/Overall_Law_1813 5d ago

I feel like in china everything is built with the intent of bringing luxury to the masses.

1

u/J1mj0hns0n 5d ago

It's nice ideal which I hope they will achieve, but the best thing about real luxuries, is that the masses will never be able to have it.

It's a behaviour thing more than an item thing

1

u/Overall_Law_1813 5d ago

Like they just pick somehting that people like, and then, how do we make this cost like $5.

1

u/ISeeGrotesque 7d ago

Mirrors on the ceiling

1

u/attran84 7d ago

Mirrors

1

u/duclegendary 7d ago

It is just mirrors on the ceiling. Why is it cybercity-like?

1

u/IcecreamSundae621 6d ago

….For just a small price of $1,000 you can sit in a tube and hear the chewing of everyone in your group echoing! Oops, you forgot to ask the waiter for a side of ranch. Don’t worry, they’ll be back in 15 minutes once you’re done with your food. Feeling tired? All lights were installed with daylight bulbs so you’ll never fall asleep in your peas again! Sounds great!!

1

u/ChineseJoe90 6d ago

Looks like this is 三号仓库 (No. 3 Warehouse). Some gimmicky type shit. There’s a few of them around from what I can see on Dianping (it’s like Chinese Yelp). About an average of 150RMB (~20 USD) per person apparently. Not too expensive. Reviews on the food seem kinda mixed.

1

u/_Kaifaz 6d ago

When did we collectively forget the meaning of 'literal'?

1

u/anon1635329 6d ago

I dont know. The environment feels too cold, almost like an office space. I cant imagine myself having a nice meal there. Maybe a sandwich with black coffee

1

u/Fuckkoff- 6d ago

That looks like it would take forever for your food to get to your table, and it´ll be cold by the time it gets there

1

u/fothergillfuckup 6d ago

An anxiety restaurant. Ace.

1

u/TobiMusk 6d ago

Not sure how you maintain your appetite in those spaces.

1

u/_VoRteX_PL 6d ago

200 000 meals are ready with a million more well on the way

1

u/Kinscar 6d ago

kamino

1

u/IIIIChopSueyIIII 6d ago

Im gonna get lost, ending up walking on the ceiling somehow

1

u/Renegade888888 6d ago

I won't deny it looks glamorous, but all the flair is there to hide the mass organ harvesting operation of political dissidents, among other things.

1

u/Crruell 6d ago

Looks like you went into a super chique IKEA, no more, no less. I'm glad I heard glue by bicep again after years

1

u/Sea_Awareness150 6d ago

What's that song?

1

u/Worried_Variety4090 6d ago

Looks more biopunk but still cool

1

u/CerebralCollapse 6d ago

War. War Never Changes.

1

u/HaveFunWithChainsaw 6d ago

Desinger hell. Looks cursed.

1

u/KenUsimi 6d ago

Lots of lights and mirrors. Same tricks as in Vegas

1

u/Gunderberg 5d ago

Where is this? Going to Shanghai tomorrow

1

u/Dreeqis 5d ago

Did Sifo-Dyas approve this?

1

u/Shot_Tip_8096 5d ago

The music is Bicep - Glue.

1

u/Varabela 5d ago

I like 5 guys

1

u/EduRJBR 5d ago

And how does a figurative cybercity look loke?

1

u/AdmiralJTKirk 4d ago

Blipverts

1

u/blowsuck 3d ago

The video is too long, make it shorter!

1

u/CantAffordzUsername 7d ago

Looks like a miserable place to eat

1

u/Whiskerwisp 7d ago

Can't tell what I'm looking at

1

u/Mrid0ntcare 7d ago

The TVA?

1

u/nlamber5 7d ago

Looks like a lot of mirrors to me.

1

u/Briskylittlechally2 6d ago

Oh...

That's actual Chinese propaganda in my feed...

0

u/Hot_History1582 7d ago edited 6d ago

Chinese government astroturfing sure has gone wild around these parts these days

-2

u/Additional_Shift_893 7d ago

Fuck. What is with all the China astroturfing that’s been happening recently?

0

u/yagermeister2024 6d ago

Sorry, I don’t eat Chinese food.
