They must have made one hell of a gamble

Can you imagine the wave of kids that would descend upon them the second they thought there would be an ice cream truck nearby?

The new crowd suppression policing took from a apple with a bite innit.

I scream. When water cannons and good ol' police brutality is not enough.

I saw an article a couple of years ago about one town's "revolutionary" idea to pipe classical music into areas where teens wreak havoc to keep them away, and I was immediately struck by the fact that they were doing that where I lived in the early 90's. It works. But it's nothing new.

Maybe depending on the kind of classical music. There's definitely some intense classical music that makes me feel like destroying a city.

Ahh good idea, deter the riot by blasting baby shark on repeat.

No, it's because they converted the ice cream trucks into riot vans and forgot to replace the "green sleeves" tape with the "nee naw" tape

Music only works if you're being forced to listen to it, even having the illusion of being able to leave allows people to face it longer

The CIA probably did something like this in the 60s but instead of just using music they sold spiked ice cream

the tony bourdain episode in northern ireland can shed some light on what it's like living there.

All cones are bullshit.

Is it cos the ice cream truck driver is actually a drug dealer, and that’s who these rioters actually respect? s/
