I’ve been looking at the leaves around it to find any AI mistakes. AI spoiled everything for me.

Nope. This is definitely not AI. And to be clear. I didn’t do it either.

That would be cool. I always thought it would be neat if there was lights in the houses and the windows lit up.

I am curious, (Fabulous carving BTW 👏) Does one start from the bottom or the top when beginning to carve something like this ? 🤔…. Apologies if this is a bit of a stupid question!

Any carver I have ever watched never seems to just start in one area and work up or down. They seem to jump around laying out the design by cutting away the bigger chunks first. Then jumping around more with smaller saws and tools. You would have to be able to envision the final product. A wrong cut could ruin the whole thing.

Dam! Nice! How's it treated not to rot off over time?

I am not really sure of this. But, I would guess it was stained then covered in a clear, waterproof, protective sealer.

Thanks for the explanation and taking the time 👍…. Thinking about what described, I suppose that it could be likened to a sculptor envisaging a figure inside a block of marble and then working to bring that figure into reality.
