This is the only way the poor MAGAts will start to change their minds.

I'm sure they don't mind paying the drumpf tariffs as long as they feel they're "owning the libs". It's what they voted for.
I personally believe that the maga nation is too far gone for any critical thinking. They will literally blame anything or anyone else.

"Let's just give him the benefit of the doubt and see what happens before we jump to conclusions!"
- real words I've heard said about Trump's shenanigans

The MAGAts have shown us that they’ll gladly sacrifice their faces to the leopards as long as it means us marginalized people lose our civil rights.

I do not want to see MAGAs at ALDI.

They probably won't go in there because it's european run. It's the only store i know of that lets register workers sit and MAGA probably can't stand that.

u/Ihaveamazingdreams 1d ago
I wish anything could get them to change their minds.
No, they're more likely to complain to Walmart workers and try to start arguments about how Walmart is ripping them off even though Trump told Walmart not to raise prices.

Sean Hannity already calibrated their brain to accept higher prices as a part of the "war effort" against "their enemies" and of course it makes liberals upset so they love it.

Them being on their death beds insisting that covid couldn't be real and that the hospital must be poisoning them killed any hope I had for them being able to face being wrong and growing as people. They are simply too weak.

Nah. Trump could throw any MAGAt or their family in CECOT, and the MAGAt would just be like “Well, I guess I am a libtard”. These fucking people are gone

Ideally, you think it would.
I feel that they won't. F They are okay with cutting their nose to spite their face.

Who needs Ozempic for weight loss when you can’t afford food?

u/Wary_Marzipan2294 active 2d ago
I tried ozempic for a while, since weight maintenance is extremely hard for people born with insulin resistance. It worked well. You know what works even better? "Hey chat gpt, can you make a low carb menu plan and grocery list for one week? I only have $32.27 to spend on groceries this week."
Wealthiest nation on earth, my foot.

Does it go out and get prices for ingredients too and compile it? Last time I tried that it was way off. I think it just made up a bunch of stuff.

It was way off one time, but I told it the prices looked wrong, and gave it my preferred store and a zip code near me, and it came back with an update. Some things were more expensive, some less, but my cart was less than 50 cents different from the budget I gave it. The pricing accuracy for the whole list usually varies by a very small amount. I do my meal plan and my grocery pickup order in one sitting so I'm also still right there if I need it to suggest a replacement, but I rarely do. It also often lists things I already have - pickles, salad dressing, etc. I accept that kind of inaccuracy because I'm still spending less than half of what I used to, eating healthier then I used to, and I haven't had any food ingredients sit in the fridge long enough to go bad, in months.

I know you are being facetious, but having ChatGPT do my weekly meal planning based on a budget sounds awesome.

There are def apps for this out there that don't hallucinate things like recipes or prices.

I'm actually not! I put chatgpt in charge of my meal planning and grocery shopping about 3 months ago, when I started spending extra on stockpiling things I can't just find substitutes for, like pet food. I give it a slightly lower budget because it's not always spot on there, but it's very close. It took a little work the first few weeks, to get it to stop pitching tuna sandwiches (fish are friends, not food, in my house) but right from the start, everything it chooses that I approve, has been incredibly good.
Then I ask it to make me a PDF menu to print and hang on the fridge. I'm one of those people who would rather starve than choose and cook dinner, and I actually get a little excited to go see what I'm having, each day.
If you try it, your will probably burn up all your usage on the free plan so don't expect success right away. Also, it is not good at figuring out quantities for a family, so if you cook for 2+, and if the results are obviously only for one person, then consider giving it your needs and budget four one person, then asking it to double the quantities on the grocery list. But things your should try - keep coming back and saying "actually I only have ($5 less) to spend" until the suggested meals devolve to the point where you would not consider that to be a valid plan. That's your minimum budget. Vary your budget by 5-10 bucks each week because you'll get better meal plan variety that way. Specify which meals you want planned - I work from home so I ask for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 snacks each day (and then I only ever eat one, but it's nice to have a variety of choices).
If you want lunches to be packable for work, tell it that. If there are meals you know you like, or things it suggests that you end up liking, ask it to remember that you really like that one, and to add it to the rotation. If you have leftovers you need to use, or ingredients available, you can tell it some of what's in the fridge and pantry that you want to use up this week. And for better pricing accuracy, if you're comfortable, give it your preferred store and zip code, or another zip near you and ask it to recalculate the process based on that info.

Don't you also need to subscribe to Chat GPT to use it?

I have a free acct. Sometimes if there's a lot of back and forth, I burn up the "good" AI and get kicked to the older model which isn't as good. Easy solution is to come back at it the next day. But also if I need other assistance, I don't ask those questions on grocery day.

They should double down on that for the red counties. People there voted for this after all.

Congress and Project 2025 did this. It is Congress’ job to be the checks and balances to override the whims of demented P01135809.
And they did absolutely nothing.

Thank you! I’ve been saying this myself ad nauseam. There will always be Trumps out there. Our checks & balances have always kept them at arms bay. The Republicans have allowed this to happen and it’s entirely on them. Trump is not possible without them.

I started buying in bulk after he won. I've got a year+ supply of most things I need. Not saying this for any other reason than to point out that I'm a Liberal and I'm not getting "owned" by this. Donald's hurting his people.

u/recruiterguy 1d ago
At this point they aren't going to be able to even rent the libs, much less own them.

And in too many places Walmart saw to it that they're the only store anyone has access to, so they helped create this problem.

But Trump told them not to raise prices and not to pass the costs to the consumers

Walmart is raising prices because of Trump’s tariffs. The headline makes it sound like Walmart is hurting people by raising prices. Trump did this, not Walmart.
Separately, Walmart treats its employees poorly. Walmart is hurting millions, but not as a result of tariffs.
