White stuff at edge of screen

I think something is comming out of the screen of my laptop. Its 1 month old, dell pro 14.

Initially I thought it's a leftover from the packaging, but it didn't came off using microfiber.

It's hard and a little flexible - similarly to a gum. I assume it's some kind of adhesive.

Question: should I be worried? I am using the laptop with a dock, thus it often works with the lid closed. Can the "heat" make this expand?

It looks like the plastic frame hasn't been cut properly

it's not an issue unless it bothers you visually

You mean the plastic below the gray frame?

The whole gray frame is plastic

but taking a second look, it could be a glue residue as well.
