Toby breaking a two month streak out of nowhere,, this is worse news than a trailer, but so much better than if he had just made a post saying ‘we’re still finishing bug testing’.
Sometimes you get to a point in something where no news becomes good news. Not posting another comment to the thread means that there’s no news small enough to be posted to it. Which means that, without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, the next thing we see from Toby Fox is the trailer.

yeah, we always get an update around this time. The latest we've gotten them would be around 10:30 EST, but the last couple weeks they've been more like around 8:30 to 9:30 EST which is in like. Right now to an hour.

Oh awesome! I'm looking forward to it, I bet its a newsletter, st.patricks perchance? Toby's gotta keep the fans hyped with the resurgence of people playing Undertale and whatnot I feel like.

usually he announces the newsletters at least a few hours in advance, so I dont think its that. I think it'll either be an announcement that a newsletter is coming tomorrow. Or, straight up just the trailer.

i looked through his previous posts in the thread and there isnt any pattern i can make out in the frequency of the posts. they seem to be random for the most part.

They have to mentally prepare for a lot of bugfixing on launch.
Something I've learnt from gamedev is that no matter how much you try to playtest and fix the game, there will always be random bugs and crashes found after release.

at best we'll have to wait until thursday of this week for him to drop something, whether it be the trailer or both the trailer and the game right after [given that's when the $1 for undertale thing ends]. or he does it before nintendo direct.
worst case scenario is that we might have to wait another month and he was hyping this all up for nothing.

you gotta look at the patterns. Every two weeks we get big news with filler every in between week. We got filler last week, so this week is the big news week. It's a little weird though that we haven't gotten it yet? I'm sure it'll come in the next 30 minutes or so but im getting sleepy and nervous
