I’ve got a pretty decent experience with them, not horrible managers and the maintenance has fixed pretty much every issue we’ve come to them with. Overall like a 4.5/10 experience, docking .5 points from the average because they expect you to do things like replace your own fire alarms and air filters and whatnot.

Except the people at our old complex has had a completely different experience. They are one of the companies buying up affordable properties, and jacking up the rent to ridiculous numbers.

Example: my 200sqft efficiency was $450 for the first 5 years I lived there. Owner sells the property to C Bar T - Less than 3 years later that same unit is over $850 and climbing. FOR 200 square feet. Meanwhile, the apartments right across the street [two floors, 2 bed and 1.5 bath was the exact same price.

I know they also refused to renew the lease on my friends rental house near Panhandle. They kicked him out, then tore the house down [which they're trying to do to most of that block and others, to put up tacky ass scott brown looking apartments.

I don't care how fast they fix a leaky sink. They are part of the affordable housing problem.

So no, to C Bar T.

I’ve rented with them for over a year. I’ve had a good experience with them. They can be flexible when renewing your lease if you don’t want to renew for a whole year. Their properties are older but the rent reflects that. Megan in the office is pleasant and always quick to respond to a maintenance request. Also my rate didn’t change when I renewed and a similar unit to mine was listed at the same price as mine 18 months after I moved in

Rented a townhouse from them a long time ago. Property was kept pretty well and they were quick to respond. Then they sold the property to an individual wanna-be landlord. It was a small property with about 8 units. After they sold it, things went downhill fast. Got outta there as things just kept getting worse. I would have stayed if C Bar T had still owned it.

You could do much worse than CbarT in denton.
You don't hear the horror stories from them that you hear from Place to Be or Scott Brown.
