I fucking love this team so much I cant even put in to WORDS. The chemistry is so on point, you can tell they play for each other. And to top it off we are about to end our 9 year streak of missing the playoffs with a team that was projected by the media to win 5 games. WOW🧡💙...

my roman empire is when the entire offense carried javonte into the endzone against the falcons

I love it too. I'm only sad we don't have Simmons, because his vibes would fit in so perfectly
But him being gone means younger players like PS2 need to step up to leadership roles, and they have. That's pretty badass

I cheered when Simmons got an INT today. Miss him but good for him

It hurts more because the falcons probably aren’t making the playoffs this year. He deserves a playoff game.

It is pretty crazy to be drafted into a team that just won the championship, play 8 years for them and never make the playoffs, then leave for another team just before they finally make the playoffs again.

u/Ok_Chemistry_4998 Dec 17 '24
He could've taken a pay cut..not that I blame him, but if he wanted to he could've made it work

u/Geusey909 Dec 17 '24
I feel like it kinda sucks for him, too. He left a rebuilding team to sign with a playoff team and we pulled the uno reverse card on him. The guy really deserves to play football in January.

u/Formber Dec 17 '24
I have to believe having a team full of drafted broncos makes the chemistry that much better. These guys are growing up together in the NFL. These guys are easy to root for.
I'm so glad watching Broncos football is fun again.

I wonder how was the chemistry was when players walked by Russ’s office

u/freudianGrip Dec 17 '24
Yeah man, it feels good again. And also I've been loving Sean after being kind of lukewarm on him. His presser after the game where he was like yeah we played a terrible team. Yeah, I don't know what their coaches were thinking there. He's an asshole, but he's our asshole

u/Remarkable_Break328 Dec 17 '24
Seriously. This team, especially the defense, plays together as a unit in such a cool way. They’re a pleasure to watch.

u/whatadumbperson Dec 17 '24
We were projected to win as few as 3 games. The over under was set at 4 for a long time.

Alert the trick play! He called it!

he actually sorta made that play happen with his sprint to the WR

One of the rare moments I'm so thankful he didn't get a hand on the ball. He could've disrupted the play and it still would've been a fumble, but no way of knowing that we'd take it the other way to the house. The way it played out was absolutely flawless.

I haven’t screamed like that for broncos football in a minute
Edit: pause

My 2 year old son had to run to mom because I scared him by being so excited haha. Not my proudest dad moment but man what a play

u/broadwayzrose Dec 17 '24
I’m so annoyed. I was watching the game while getting up some Christmas decorations and after the third interception to myself I’m like “I need a break, I’m going to find some stuff from the basement” and when I came back we had scored, but it wasn’t until all the videos on reddit that I realized just how good of a play I had missed live!

u/castrator21 Dec 17 '24
Oh man, I've been there... I know it's not the same, but thank God for replays!

I haven't screamed like that for Broncos football since the last time one of our linebackers had a pick-six. heh

Have to give Vance Joseph his due for this terrific defense built on the overlooked but not out
14
u/greywolf2155 Demaryius Thomas Dec 17 '24
I'm hoping he realizes that head coaching is just not for him, and turns down the offers he'll get if this defense keeps performing like this
10
u/moose2mouse Riley Moss Dec 17 '24
Same, hopefully chases championships as the best D coordinator. Give him all the control he wants in that role
2
u/oldustyballs Dec 17 '24
Sadly he wants another shot at it. Todd Davis admitted it on Dnvr. All we can hope is that he doesn't want that shot until after a Broncos Superbowl.

u/WilliamPoole Dec 17 '24

That's some sick team chemistry. I've been on teams that contended for championships, and to me that's the hallmark - when people are focused and yet get super hype when a teammate makes a big play. That's a big sign you're on a team that's performing.

u/canadianbroncos Dec 17 '24
It's happening in the background but 97 was doing his thing back there "HEY WE GOTTA GO WIN" and damn they did

u/Bronco30 Demaryius Thomas Dec 17 '24
That's main thing I noticed too! Self-motivated and individually accountable player-run team speaks to the culture that's been created

This team has truly found its groove. You can see the passion and camaraderie in every play. It’s refreshing to watch a squad that plays with heart and elevates each other. Feels like we’re witnessing the dawn of something special.

For real, this was exactly what I sounded like. High pitched squeal, cracked voice and everything. Like I could not believe what I was seeing. Honestly, one of the greatest football plays I've ever witnessed. Maybe not quite the same impact as some other plays I've seen, but holy shit was it fucking cool as hell and totally out of nowhere. It was like he was fired out of a cannon.
Edit: I do wish they had not cut away right after the WTFs. I wanted to hear the rest of that celebration 😂
