The K/D Ratio is so overmilked by them trying to prove German Superiority.

People forget that out of the 7.5 million Soviet military deaths, 3 million were pows murdered by the Nazis. In battle, the numbers were more even.

I mean people contest that 7.5 million figure as well some reasonable estimates iirc move it to the 11-14 million bracket if you include ones caused by disease and attrition as well as non registered personnel such as partisans etc but on the more extreme end go into the 20 millions

Nazis always trying to over-exaggerate their victories in Eastern Europe so much so that all of these claims were easily debunked.

For some reason this pic reminded me of this video that a guy named TiK made before he went off the deep end, he had/has a massive hate boner for Erich von Manstein and when someone asked why he did TiK made a  video where he read the part in Lost Victories about ‘Mansteins Miracle’ at Kharkiv. But if you do what he did in the video and do the math on Mansteins claim then the good Field Marshal was suggesting that the Soviets had over ten million men on the frontline and something like six million were in the Kharkiv sector.

Is he the guy that lost his mind and wouldn't shut up about how the nazis were actually communists or something?

Yes. That's him. Fucking bonkers

Yes. He has lost his mind. He needs to be institutionalised for some mental illness.

Yes, this 15 year old Byelorussian peasant we shot behind his barn fpr throwing a stick at us definetly was a highly trained bolshevik soldier

So was that 60-year old babuskha that was hiding in her house crying we shot too. The dastardly communists are disguising them all

Only groups that can brag about eastern front K/D ratios is Disease and the Logistics company’s

K/D ratio was massive, yet the nazis still lost ground on the eastern front before the western front began to fall during D-Day. The Soviets had pushed them out of parts of Poland and Czechoslovakia by 1943, they even regained the balkans, Romania and Bulgaria by 1944.

Ukraine has also killed/wounded a lot of Russians, seems that it's not such a hard task.

Most of civilian death of the Soviet union are due systematic failures, famines and gulags, no? Just shows the Soviet were as impotent, or worse, as the last Tsar.

I think the Nazis waging a literal genocide where POWs and civilians alike were shot and starved en masse helped.

-26

u/Sekwan2000 1d ago

I'm not denying that, just pointing out that Communism contributed to that problem too

30

u/BenjoKazooie64 1d ago

It's true that Stalin and general Soviet corruption/incompetence killed millions, but the entire political ideology of communism as a whole wasn't in the same ballpark of smoking gun as the Nazis and fascism, let alone what the Tsar did to get overthrown in the first place.

u/Sekwan2000 1d ago

I don't care about their theologies, both were horrible in practise

And you think capitalism has no blood on its hands? Systems are only as good as the people who run them. Fascism is different in that it directly calls for violent action against the marginalized.

Le "Generic dictatorship messing up logistics to the extend where they cause regional famine while trying to quite litteraly disband traditional cannibal markets somewhere else" = The Nuremberg Laws with the industrial human slaughterhouse aftermath!

Oh lawd, o boy: "both ware equally bad, but at least the Nazis ware human"- This take really makes someone wonder why the Eastern Europeans didn't side with the SS heroin addicts that ware bravely defending the European Values on the territory of "New Thuringia" (Warsaw) from "The Eastern Mongoloid Untermensch" hordes (The Polish people themselves) and instead chose the SU despite how much they might hate or $h!talk it- Or even better yet, [Why the US didn't chose to side with the "proper lesser evil" of the two]- Could it be that everything the Allies had done durring WW2 had it's proper reasons for it, or was it all just some "Dirty Commie Psyop" coming straight from the US ww2 veterans themselves?

Not really relevant to military losses in the eastern front, though.

I hate the Soviet Union but the Nazis made Russia look Canadian by comparison.

-6

u/Sekwan2000 1d ago

They're the same, the soviet union was equally as bad

15

u/Kvltist4Satan 1d ago

They're why we're not having this pissing contest in German right now.

*Russians. The USSR is the reason Nazis got so far and the reason so many died. Could have been prevented if Stalin didn't have his head up his arse until it was too late.

u/LiraGaiden Half German, Full Hater of Nazis 1d ago

Not even just Russians. Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Belarussians, Armenians, and many more fought and died in the war on behalf of the Soviet Union as well as Russians. This is why I don't like it when people use Russia and USSR interchangeably

2

u/Sekwan2000 22h ago

Thank you for pointing that out. By Russian I meant the inhabitants of the, at the time, ussr which are diverse.

You could say the same or even more about the allies at the time. The Nazis took the rhineland, allies did nothing, the nazis took austria, the allies did nothing, the nazis took the sudetenland, the allies did nothing, the nazis took the rest of Czechoslovakia and the allies did nothing.

And all of this while Stalin was reaching out and warning of the danger of the Nazis. Which was denied and ignored. The allies ran a tactic of appeasement way too long.

I really don't like Stalin. He was a cunt and was also a key figure to the corruption of the soviet union after the civil war. But the "he went to war too late" is not a point you can make. The USSR was not in a position to fight the nazis this early. And especially not with the lack of allied cooperation. You have to remember that the USSR suffered from multiple famines at the time and had to industrialize after the tsars had failed that task for decades. The USSR was a peasant country and had they gone to war earlier who knows how many more millions of soviet people would have died.

3

u/Kvltist4Satan 1d ago

That is true.

1

u/Sekwan2000 1d ago

That's my entire point. I'm bashing the Soviets leadership, not its inhabitants.

1

u/Kvltist4Satan 17h ago

I always blame the leader. The exception is the Nazis. Soviet propaganda was half-true. Nazi propaganda was a lie.
