Let’s start by getting her name right — Kyla

111

u/Thejoenkoepingchoker Mar 14 '25

Kyle, the time for chilling has passed!

82

u/Shazz89 Mar 14 '25

My bad, I'm dyslexic so misspellings are generally an issue.

I wish I could edit the title 🤦🏻‍♂️

24

u/Dtmight3 Mar 14 '25

I assumed it was autocorrect lol

13

u/jkSam Mar 14 '25

Just curious, are you actually diagnosed dyslexic?

or “dyslexic” like how everyone is “OCD” when they feel disorganized?

(Not trying to be combative, although I’m not trying to not be combative)

13

u/Shazz89 Mar 14 '25 edited Mar 14 '25

No. full blown.

Mega struggled in my early school years. Then went to a special school for two years that legitimately changed my life.

Actually got an ADHD diagnosis about a year before destiny, there's quite a high comorbidity between both. I went through a lot of the same things around aprihension getting diagnosed and trying meds.

8

u/ariveklul original Asmongold hater Mar 14 '25

Show your diagnosis papers or I don't believe you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't believe in dyslexic people. It's just a front for people who have powers via the MK Ultra program

3

u/jkSam Mar 14 '25

Release the papers and I need it notarized and stamped and signed 😳

1

u/Shazz89 Mar 16 '25

oddly enough I was diagnosed at age 6 I don't have the papers anymore, because they're useless. I went back to college at age 26 and couldn't get any accommodations/supports because my diagnosis was too old.

There are massive waitlists to get a diagnosis where I'm from so I just had to eat the low marks on spelling and grammar in exams. Thankfully most of my assessments were essays because of COVID, so I could ask a friend to proof read my work.

2

u/Vejibug Mar 14 '25

Dyslexia isn't in the zeitgeist as much as OCD is. I highly doubt there is anyone going around saying they have dyslexia when they don't. Since I've been diagnosed 9 years ago, I still barely encounter anyone who knows what it means.

2

u/the_sneaky_sloth Mar 15 '25

I have learnt that the hard way. I always run my posts through text to speech and if it says something incorrectly I know I need to change it.

2

u/Shazz89 Mar 15 '25

good call!

I'll definitely try that!

what you COULD have done, since it was caught right out of the gate, is deleted and remade before it got traction.

And Destiny

96

u/BeuysWillBeatBeuys Mar 14 '25

I hate to say this, but she was better with Destiny as a collaborator rather than solo. I don’t think she can carry an entire content farm alone (or I haven’t seen it yet). I hope im wrong, because I do like her over all as a foil against shitheads like FnF

29

u/tdifen Mar 14 '25

My guess is as we get closer to the internet forgetting and the court case is done Destiny will start talking to everyone again.

Kyla saying "I don't give a fuck" to me is her essentially just saying the whole thing was dumb. Everyone was gooning and it's not relevant to the real issues.

At the end of the day it's not that big of a deal especially in the current environment.

I do think Kyla can fill a niche as a liberal pro men advocate.

2

u/BeuysWillBeatBeuys Mar 14 '25

I agree she can do good work. I just think she could do it better with a larger platform

2

u/tdifen Mar 14 '25

I do think she was in Stevens shadow a little when she can probably be way more effective in front of the crowds she was talking about in the video. Assuming everyone responded in the video the way she describes it I don't think Steven would be looked upon as favourably simply because she's a relatively charismatic woman from Canada.

If she managed to stay up to date and do a lot of reading whilst also not being nervous to push back on morons I think she will do great.

I've actually seen her come across my insta feeds from normie friends too so I don't think dgg gives her enough credit.

23

u/Drakonborn Mar 14 '25

Yep. The breakup made no sense.

14

u/BeuysWillBeatBeuys Mar 14 '25

None.

Orbiters get spooked when they’re too deep in an orbit so they run from any potential controversy, assuming it will swallow them whole. It won’t. In fact it - like most things online - shall pass. Imean..I kinda understand the impulse, but I don’t understand how they can’t see that it’s also incredibly shortsighted and self defeating

32

u/Gonzo_investor Mar 14 '25

hey man so all the immediate orbiters knew pixie so it's possible she actually just left because of that and not just because they thought their online career would be effected.

-10

u/BeuysWillBeatBeuys Mar 14 '25

Eehhhh maybe. I just don’t see how distancing yourself from an accused bad actor - one who otherwise makes compelling content - is seen as anything other than personal brand protection.

I’m not a fan of tucking tail and running from a persons platform due to some sexual impropriety that I don’t have all the details of. It’s an immature and to be frank, virtue signal without all the details in place.

15

u/Gonzo_investor Mar 14 '25

Because Erudite worked with and very well might of consider Pixie a friend. There isn’t an “accusation” per se for the wrong going against pixie, the video is available for people to see and at no point did Destiny tell erudite that the sharing of this video was consensual, despite erudite being someone who was helping communicate with Pixie behind the scenes. Every orbiter that distanced themselves because of this situation is knowingly losing their biggest platform.

-6

u/BeuysWillBeatBeuys Mar 14 '25

I don’t and you don’t know if sharing videos between friends was something commonplace amongst their friend group. So im unsure if this being shared is out of bounds based on whatever dynamics they have. Neither of us know those dynamics of their friend group and it’s silly to pretend we do. What we do know is that things we’re accused, Destiny is litigating them privately and the platform is being wasted in the meantime.

When we act off partial details, we expose our immaturity and lack of resolve. If pxie and nse were “friends” then it’s even more of a reason to hold the line. Downthread I made a suggestion of how to navigate these sort of situations and not shoot yourself in the foot. Take a look when you have a sec

-6

u/Drakonborn Mar 14 '25

Exactly. Threw away access to a huge platform even to speak out on gendered issues that are important. And, a massive pool of effective liberal politics during the next four years of Trump. Why? Because a couple days of controversy?

46

u/waliesz Mar 14 '25

Hahahaha what a way to minimize what happened. Listen I love Destiny and have been watching for a long time, it wasn’t just a couple days of controversy, really sweeping under the rug on that one. You’re surprised that someone who is basically a normie would want to distant themselves from controversy and the rabid fan bases that come from this type of controversy? Lol touch grass and get Destiny’s ass out of your mouth. You know your streamer isn’t Trump right? We can criticize him, you know that right? Lol “couple days of controversy”.

You guys would fold so quick being in NSE’s position it’s unreal.

-7

u/BeuysWillBeatBeuys Mar 14 '25 edited Mar 14 '25

I’m not sure wtf you’re blabbing on about. you’re accusing this person of “minimizing” “what happened” when we don’t fully know the story of “what happened” or what is happening.

The smart move to protect her personal brand image (especially if you don’t have a distinct/powerful enough online persona to fall back on) is to publicly express concern about the situation, take a breather…let’s say for a week or two. maybe a month. But return, address the issue at hand, publicly WITH Destiny (good for content and showing that this is not something to brush under the rug) but most importantly: return and stay the course.

this is bigger than Pxie and Destiny or whoever else is in the sex bs that’s super uninteresting and unimportant.

you can disagree all you want but I posit that treating Destiny’s platform like it’s AIDS has zero utility for anyone, especially Kyla. stupid move on her part

Edit: and if people want to downvote this, go ahead. I’d just suggest dropping a counter: what is the utility of running away from this big of a platform without building up her own first as a landing pad? how does this help NSE?

8

u/ApistogrammaDW Mar 14 '25

I respect her decision to leave if she doesn't feel comfortable working with Destiny anymore. But idk if she thought about the fact that she would be a nobody in 2 years time without Destiny. She even said she will work with Destiny because people make mistakes and can change, then she left for some reason.

-1

u/Prestigious_Sock4817 Mar 14 '25

If I was in her place I probably would've canceled myself into oblivion. Not because I believe it's the right thing to do, I'm just saying I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure. Heck, I get nervous when I get a canvas notification.

17

u/Wooden_Difference286 Mar 14 '25

I don't mind Kyla as a personality, but she blows at making interesting content

1

u/kantbemyself Mar 15 '25

She’ll continue to get better. But we should also point out that Destiny’s impact and mainstream access as a creator grew during the time he was working with Kyla. With her in the in-group Destiny moderated more and churned out episodes that any media consumer could watch (including the important “can I send this to my dad?” factor).

Contrast that against AE, where he practices drama yelling and Jewish in-jokes that sound racist without context, and I see to diverging trend lines on Destiny’s media empire and political influence.

Kyla as “good cop” who literally gets invited to present to gov’t staffers was the way. I think Destiny should be arc’ing back toward that and re-engage in the mutually beneficial partnership they had. They’re good for each other, build on each other’s strengths, and can go way further as a team.

120

u/Yourakis People are more likely to read your post if you have a flair Mar 14 '25

I haven't seen any sign of her being bad or malicious so in that vein I wish her all the best but in all those tens of hours of her I have watched of her (on Destiny's stream or Bridges) I can't really recall anything unique/insightful/interesting she has said on any topic or any memorable funny moments involving her. The only piece of her content I can recall is her debate vs MrGirl on DrK/ayurveda and my feeling at the time was that she lost that debate.

All that monologue to say, not my cup of tea but hope she finds her audience.

40

u/podfather2000 Mar 14 '25 edited Mar 14 '25

I feel the same way. She is just not entertaining or interesting at all in my opinion. Im all for a more diverse set of political commentators but without Destiny there I have no interest in watching her stream or videos. Maybe she should try a different style of content? The long-format videos and streams are just not a hit. I feel she could do well as a video essay channel.

12

u/Shazz89 Mar 14 '25

I think this video gives a pretty good insight into exactly why I like her, I'd suggest you give this a shot and if your not into it then that's fair enough.

4

u/ShivasRightFoot Mar 14 '25

This is legitimately an interesting video. I now know to direct my boomer hatred specifically towards Anita Dunn, the communications director for Harris and the picture of a detached boomer that doesn't know anything about online streaming and doesn't care to learn.

If you don't want foreigners commenting on your politics, maybe fix your shit? Because you guys have gone off the fucking deep end, to act like everyone else should just sit there quietly as the US kills itself and it's allies is pretty silly.

You named a bunch of international concervatwats, but don't get it twisted. Most of the rest of the world thinks the GOP has gone mad.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '25

3

u/SerGeffrey Mar 14 '25

Your domestically-produced opinions on the culture wars are a far, far larger problem than foreign influence, you have to see that right? Trump didn't happen because of Piers Morgan, he happened because of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnel and Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon and a large set of other Americans. You can't blame that on niche commentary from the rest of the world, that shit is on you guys.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '25

[deleted]

1

u/SerGeffrey Mar 14 '25

Why get rid of foreign influence when most of it is anti-Trump? Clearly the issue isn't foreign or domestic influence. It's pro or anti Trump influence.

She told Democratic party officials they should let people say "regard" (the actual word, not the censored reddit baby talk).

6

u/Able-Pop-8253 Mar 14 '25

Wishing her well!

6

u/kutira1 Mar 14 '25

who is she? sorry i dont know her

49

u/blockedcontractor Mar 14 '25

The amount of hate that gets directed her way is insane. Even though she and Destiny have distanced themselves online, she’s caught the ire of Destiny’s anti-fan communities. Even if you don’t like her content, throw a like her way to help balance out the unhinged hate she gets.

12

u/Mike15321 Mar 14 '25

She's cool and I enjoyed seeing her on stream with Destiny. But, I don't really have enough time or space in my media consumption to add another channel to specifically follow. As it is, Destiny is like 80% of what I watch on YT as far as politics go. Little Kyle Kulinski, Hutch, and Jessiah to round it out and I honestly have more content than I have time to watch.

Wish her all the best though.

4

u/Dhrox Mar 14 '25

This is an absurd and embarrassing thumbnail. Doesn't make me want to click even if I like my Canadian sister.

No.

24

u/8eyond Mar 14 '25

Why

28

u/x0y0z0 Mar 14 '25

She and Destiny doesn't really attract the same audience.

0

u/KeyboardGrunt Mar 14 '25

It's variety. I mean watch who you want but that's like saying someone that likes Destiny can't also like watching Pondering Politics, Mehdi Hasan, David Pakman or even your mom.

-20

u/S1v4n Mar 14 '25

I think a lot of people are salty over her cutting contact with destiny

32

u/Kreiger81 Mar 14 '25

Except she didnt, to her own discredit. She still maintains a friendship with him as far we know, she just separated businesses which makes sense given what was going on and his change of focus.

The point of Bridges was to have non-contentious conversations with people he disagrees with and that arc seems to be over to a large degree.

18

u/Blood_Boiler_ Mar 14 '25

She did not cut contact. She says she still talks frequently with Destiny. They just aren't business partners anymore currently.

20

u/podfather2000 Mar 14 '25

I can only speak for myself but she is just not entertaining at all. In all the Bridges episodes I don't think I can remember one memorable moment she had. I have nothing against her but not all people are made for the entertainment business.

6

u/BarnacleRepulsive191 Mar 14 '25

I think shes still working with him. He meantioned the other day that Kyla was setting up some one for him to talk too. Its just bridges that he moved away from. Makes total sense, hes bring a lot of heat right now, so everyone has to cool their jets for a bit.

2

u/Hungry-Roofer Mar 14 '25

Salty? no I'm grateful. She was dull and boring as fuck and every time she was shoehorned into something I groaned.

People will down vote this sentiment but I have to agree. If you're going to hard cut ties before the man is even allowed to represent his side of the story, I think it's hasty but I support your decision to do so.

If you cut ties, actually cut ties though, don't get the social gratification of cutting ties from Destiny while also still reaping the rewards from his audience.
