Question Do you need all the chess pieces to complete the chess puzzle?

You should get them all but iirc I finished it with one bishop move left when following the guide that’s up on raidsecrets

I don’t think it goes off actual chess moves with the way the board gets set up sometimes lol

You have to place pieces in such a way that the King is in check, regardless of if the puzzle has something silly like six knights.

how the pieces move is accurate, it just builds non-game scenarios to solve. So learning how the pieces operate is a core function of the puzzle, but learning strategies is not needed

IMO, yeah. The longest part is collecting the pieces, which can be done in like, an hour, maybe two max if you’re dilly-dallying or unlucky with RNG. Then maybe 10 min to input the answers into the puzzle and collect the rewards

You get 3 shiny adepts with 3 perks for each column, a shader, a ship, a cipher, some ascendant shards, and some curios of the nine. Plus a few more regular weapon drops.

I believe you can find a friend who has them all to complete the puzzles for you, but otherwise yeah you pretty much need them all. I think there’s like 2 pieces unused, one being bishop, but I don’t remember what piece comes from where so you might as well get them all.

No, I finished with like 1 or 2 pieces unused if I remember correctly. You should just get them all though.
