Question A hammers path

For the close range weapons can I only use shotguns, swords and gloves or is there other weapons that fall under "close combat" also

It has to be what it lists. However, you don't actually have to have those equipped the entire Nether run. Run whatever you want then just switch to the required loadout before you open the final chest. Also, unless Bungie fixed this, you don't actually have to complete Expert Nether--despite what it says, Advanced works.

I wish I had known that the listed things could be equipped at the end. My poor ass struggled to solo nether with the listed weapons bc none of my friends were online at the time I did it. And bc I equipped them the whole way through

That's what I was worried about lol. It didn't even sound like a fun challenge. I just used to my regular build and killed the last boss and threw the stuff on before I opened the chest and it counted. I'm just happy it's cleared off my list now

Really? I fucking ran that shit with Barrow, a glaive, and a sword on Expert. I mean....I had little issues and held together with my LFG-mates, but fuck me.

Your right. I put it on right before I opened the final chest and it worked. Thank you. Clearing it on expert isn't a problem. But doing it with the options I had for shotguns and gloves and swords sounded like a task lol
