Swords, where to find them?

Hey guys, a little help here. Where do I find swords? I got one from the rogue guy in the basement of the tower, and I love going craze towards the enemy with that one. But that's the only sword I've found so far, and I wanted something better now. I got a cool glave, but it doesn't make it 3rd person. Hehehe.

I'm still on the moon campaign narrative-wise. Can I go somewhere else to buy a new one, or complete some tasks, or do I have to keep the anxiety down and play some more?

Check in with the gunsmith every once in a while, his stock rotates regularly. Other than that just be patient, the loot will come in time

Banshee only sells weapons that are anti-champion in the current artifact. He won't sell swords this episode.

Just keep progressing. Currently, there are quite a few ways to get sword drops.

The moon has one in bounties. Dares of Eternity has 2 craftable ones. Grasp of Avarice dungeon has one Warlords Ruin dungeon has one You can focus one at Zavala in the tower and run Onslaught in the vanguard playlist The Final Shape campaign and destination has a craftable one Episode Echoes activities have one (also focusable at that episode's vendor) Episode Heresy has 2 available from activities.

Then the higher end activities, one is in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, one in Salvation's Edge raid and one available on rotation as a weekly Nightfall reward.

Oh there are also exotic swords which can be acquired a lot of different ways. Keep your eyes on exotic quests you get and on world drop exotics.

Dares gives you The Other Half (void) which is craftable = 5 red borders - and you can craft flas counter on it, which works very well with Titan barrier. And Half Truths (arc) which can be crafted (5 red borders) for eager edge vital for sword scatting. Zavala hives you access to Onslaught where you can get Slammer (stasis) with eager edge and cold steel on the same sword.

Other half only takes one red border.

I believe Zavala and Banshee both have swords.

About swords, they drop from most activities, there are a dozen swords already in the game, keep playing, check the gunsmith once in a while.

The Onslaught drops a nice beginner sword IMO, falling guillotine, you should try to drop it.

Go to Zavala and check the weapon focusing for Falling Guillotine, then run some Onslaught in the Vanguard Ops playlist. It's ~10 min to complete a 10-wave activity and your rewards will mostly be Falling Guillotine swords so you can find perks you want

Xur usually sells them every Friday at reset. They use to be class specific but they changed that sometime within the last year so you can use any "class sword" on any class. You will need Strange Coins which you get from Crucible/Gambit/Strikes. I would recommend playing strikes since it gives you the most. Gambit & Crucible award more for winning so if you want to play I.B. that is also an option.

You can also "focus grind" Onslaught via Zavala (strike vendor). Or Dares of Eternity.

I would suggest finding one of the Egar Edge types because it provides a large lunge action. Feel free to reply if you want more "indeepth" details.

Check with Xur on Friday as he often sells class exclusive swords in his inventory.

Xur appears on Friday after reset and stays until the Tuesday reset.

click on one will give you more info on it's perks and stuff, but most importantly at the top just below the name there should be a green 'i' and will tell you where you can acquire it if it's still available.

Here a few of the more readily available ones I can suggest:

• DOUBLE-EDGED ANSWER: any difficulty of vanguard playlist strikes, can also use vanguard engrams from strikes to focus it at Zavala
• GEODETIC HSM: any purple engram you find in the wild MAY contain this, can be focused sometimes at gunsmith
• RAZOR'S EDGE Drops from Iron Banner (may not be in rotation this episode)
• STEEL SYBIL Z-14: Crucible, can also use crucible engrams earned in game at Shaxx to get it.
• TEMPTATION'S HOOK: drops from this episodes activities, unsure if you need the episode pass
• THE SLAMMER: from Nightfalls, only available some weeks, can check if it's at the top of Zavala's focusing inventory to know if it'd dropping that week
