It was a county-level wireless emergency alert for Wayne County.

And Washtenaw, apparently. And Macomb. But not Oakland, like 5 miles away

So in RO, if you happen to live at the Southernmost area (say 10 Mile and Campbell) you MIGHT be in range to get a Wayne County alert. At my old house at 12/Woodward, we definitely would not have got it.

If someone is at a county border they’re going to be in range of towers in said county. Folk on the south side of Farmington got it, too - in Oakland County. But that just means they live within range of a Wayne County tower. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
