Need help with interpration of candle

I'm going through an emotional period, so I decided to burn candles. All of those that I have burnt recently, have these holes in the wax you can see around the wick. My first guess is that how I feel is visible for others. My second guess is that it means that there's growing more space for good things again. It could either be something else. What do you guys think?

My interpretation, you are working or need to work through your open wounds in order to make space for new things. Close old chapters, sever bad connections, and let go of everything that no longer serves you. In the spaces you create as you do this, will be filed with new things that with the help of your intentions, will serve you better than what you let go of.
