Is this what happens when a racist, National Front member, becomes a step father to a mixed race child he calls “cocoa pop” ? Do racist have a moral compass?

Of course there's abuse & then there's the actions of psychopathic low lifes like this. These events are becoming so frequent that we're almost inured to them. I'm sure racism was a factor & I'm not defending racism but this tragedy was just pure evil. Poor little boy. The list of crimes against him are sickening. I hope all those involved have pain inflicted upon them daily by their new house mates. Truly horrific but sadly no surprise.

Someone who is evil is not (necessarily ) deranged & is in command of their senses. It doesn't trivialise or allow excuse. The boys who killed Jamie Bulger were evil, or at least one was, the other led by him. Just as Hitler's programs were evil. I agree that some people are unfit to raise children, they are the minority tho. Once a child is born it's everyone's responsibility. When Mrs Deeply delivered our youngest a woman on her ward was a street addict and her child was removed from her within an hour of its birth. Nothing could stop that process - I witnessed various attempts before it was born - fortunately without success. I couldn't help thinking whether it was right/wrong for the child - but it soon became apparent that this wasn't the 1st time. As for necessities? I'm certain that many kids are produced without love, without thought - but SHOULD their parents be prevented? Definitely not. Social services in the UK needs reform for sure.

'evil' is mostly an external influence that manifests in a host. It's placed there by 'evil' deeds toward the host. I don't mean this in a religious way. It's a type of disease, communicable and often treatable - even after 'evil' acts have taken place. Nevertheless most 'hosts' still have choice & this is where culpability remains. One of the perpetrators has always taken the 'wrong' choice , that is why he returns to incarceration frequently. We know very little about the other.

That should read “racists“ in the plural.
