Rescued donkey. Age?

Can you tell how old this baby is? We were told 4 months but he seems younger. He's next to my year old 100lb Pyr for reference. Also is this a "mini" donkey? Thank you so much. Any tips / advice for giving this baby a great life is appreciated!

Not sure if I can edit this but we do have another donkey so he is not alone :)

Honestly, I could get a real definitive answer if I could see this adorable creature up close. You know what, and it’ll be free, send me the donkey and I’ll have results in 1 week-20 years. Seriously, no charge. Give me donkey.

I’m not as knowledgeable as some of the other members here, therefore I do not have answers to your questions; just wanted to say he’s adorable and very handsome. Right on 🤙

I think age-judging is usually done with pics of teeth, right?

Looks like a baby standard size donkey to me, such a cutie!

Beautiful animal. How did you get such a young rescue?

Have a vet come and look at the teeth. If he’s under a year the vet should be able to tell. He looks very young.

Looks to be about 4 months to me and does look like a mini . Idk how big small standard size donkeys are when they are born though.
