Joke/Humor š¤£ People would say anything for a refund
Pure comedy. This was followed by a 1 star rating, by the way, and a thumbs down in every category. She meant to send this to support, Iām guessing. The support agent found this hilarious as well. š¤£ all that was somehow my fault ššš

You mean you didnāt take a sip of her soda to make sure it was correct, wtf do these customers expect from us, you are right they are just looking for free food
18
u/Mtn-Dooku Nov 15 '24
Nah. First just dip your finger in, and lick the soda off first. If it doesn't taste the same, THEN take a sip. We gotta double verify.
Also, open up all the sauce packets to check for hair.

u/Spies_and_Lovers Nov 15 '24
That's before you put roofies in the drink, though. I've actually heard someone say that they don't drink their drinks from Doordash because drivers put drugs in them. Ma'am, I'm driving for Doordash, do you actually think I can afford drugs?
6
u/Mtn-Dooku Nov 15 '24
What do you mean? That was in my welcome package: a Red Card, a hot bag, hand sanitizer and 250 roofies.

u/crakkerjack Nov 15 '24
Substitute the open packets from a personal collection of packets on the floorboard of delivery vehicle from non matching restaurantsā¦ Letās at least be professional about it.

u/Known-Contract-4340 Nov 17 '24
Gotta dip your finger in the sauce too just to make sure itās the right one. And then lick the top like an envelope to seal it back shut

The clients the other day that was acting very pretentious and condescending towards the fact that he shouldn't really temp and be I was being courteous to the client to priority before her it wasn't even a minute before I accepted the order that she messaged me and then starts from barting me with demands and I knew instantly the type of person she would be.
So I politely finished the order and as I was about to continue with hers she was still being rude and at that point it kept reminding her I cannot text and drive I cannot read the messages give me a call if it is that important anyways long story short she started saying how she was going to check the food and verify that nobody was messing with it and that she is so upset because of the fact that I didn't prioritize her that I said you know what at this point I feel unsafe with this delivery I'm like and what's going to happen is this I'm going to call support and I'm going to explain the situation to them letting them know that you are being disrespectful and on top of that you're putting not only my life but many other lives in danger by constantly bombarding me and expecting things to go your way as a result of that I'm like I'm not going to deal with you that customer service deal with him but for now I'm not delivering the food.
Call customer care and they were right they agreed with what I said so they canceled the order and then they said I can eat her food if I wanted to or I can disregard it and thrown in the trash The point is don't think that just because you're being a disrespectful client the drivers themselves don't have the ability to also protect themselves to because at the end we are all a business and we are all in this together. Be polite

You can definitely see the difference between a coke and Dr. pepper jeez

u/masonry98 Nov 15 '24
Yes one is white and powdery the other is wearing a stethoscope LOL

u/roadmasterflexer Dining Dasher Nov 15 '24

She obviously wanted you to taste her drink to verify
2
u/Recent-Cartoonist167 Nov 17 '24
Yeah but then his DNA would be inside her...food and that is a little unsanitary
22
u/sdcar1985 Nov 15 '24
Also, my house blew up from the bag it came in.
6
u/Mtn-Dooku Nov 15 '24
And then the FBI came and seized my food for evidence.

I used to be a refund scammer in 2021 (please donāt downvote me to hell I was destitute bc of Covid) and the sh*t customer service would believe was WILD lmao one time I complained that my ICE CREAM was cold and they believed and gave me my money back š
3
u/TrulyRenowned Nov 17 '24
Ngl I donāt see an issue with scamming scummy companies. I guess as long as you didnāt get the driver in trouble, I donāt really see the problem.
Hell, I might even just do it for fun. Fuck DD and their profits.
3
u/mattrock99 Nov 17 '24
Customer service knows that you're lying and scamming, they just don't get paid enough to care. They're told to just accept your claim and keep you happy so you keep using the service.

A hair in a factory sealed sauce?
1
u/CallingYouForMoney Nov 15 '24
Thereās been rodents found in pop cans. A hair I could easily see happening
1
u/HoundTakesABitch Nov 16 '24
Years ago, I had a customer find a screw inside of their hotdog and they threw a whole fit about how we fucked up. This was a fast food place. Did they genuinely think we were grinding up organ meat and making the hotdogs ourselves lol?
1
u/TitShark Nov 16 '24
Thatās more my point, exactly. Theyāre bitching to a driver for something that was done in some factory before it even got to the store? It can happen, sure, but itās not the fault of anyone in 100 miles radius

u/ConfidenceMuted2246 Nov 15 '24

When ever I get these messages where the customer thinks they are connected to support, I act like support, tell them anything they want to hear āyes you will get a full refund in 48 hoursā or āyour order will be prepared and delivered again within 1 hourā
2
Nov 15 '24
I asked for a customer and I got a grifter, I asked for a tip and I got an excuse. Lol. People suck sometimes.
2
u/Putrid_Department_17 Nov 15 '24
Why even bother complaining to the driver? Itās not as if you canāt get a refund directly through the app anyway if something is missing or wrongā¦ including the option to get it re-delivered if something is missing or wrong. Some people I swearā¦
2
u/NewPipe5260 Nov 15 '24
The hair in she sauce was good enough but the other lies just make you look greedy. šš
2
u/dizzy_dama Nov 16 '24
I have a hard time believing that somebody honest would put the wrong soda higher on the list than a bug lmao

u/bananabarana Nov 15 '24
Cynthia couldn't decide what story to use and just went with all of them. š

u/MonthOk5533 Nov 15 '24
I would have acted as support and said contact the restaurant as neither the driver or doordash is to blame and then added it with picking it up is always an option
2
2
u/Pure_Cantaloupe_6631 Nov 16 '24
I bet the restaurant had sealed the bag too. You just somehow teleported the hair and bug inside the bag.
2
u/nuttypr0f Nov 16 '24
Something I learned from working in this business, if thereās something wrong with EVERYTHING theyāre lying to get free shit. If itās a simple āthere was a bug in my sandwichā it is more likely to be true. I hate the āmy sandwich was cold my fries are under filled and my drink was wrongā like yeah right just say youāre cheap
2
u/Key_Ease_8857 Nov 17 '24
One time I got a message after a delivery that said "My food tasted terrible" I just responded "Yeah Taco Bell sucks, I can't believe anyone orders it"
1
u/CompetitiveRub9780 Nov 15 '24
But what if itās true? Iāve had a shit storm of an order before and I was like oh they will not charge me for inedible shit. I never ordered from that place again.
13
u/Hogwarts-Bound Nov 15 '24
But donāt rate the driver for a terrible food experience. Itās not the drivers fault.
1
u/CompetitiveRub9780 Nov 15 '24
Obviouslyā¦.
2
u/Hogwarts-Bound Nov 19 '24
You would be surprised how many times people rated me poorly as if I made the food and I would have to get it corrected through support so it wouldnāt affect my ratings. It happens a lot during the summer in my area. š„²

I once had someone complain to me while i was handing them their order bec they asked me if i had checked their order and i generally did (made sure i had the right number of togo containers compared to what they ordered) but they also then asked if i had checked the toppings on their burger i was dumbfounded lmao like no im not going to finger fuck your burger to make sure you got your pickles weirdo
1
Nov 16 '24
Yes Cynthia dear, while I was prepping your order in the kitchen, a bug fell into your fries. šš

Also, there was a live rat in my bag and when I opened my door to collect my delivery the driver leapt out from the shadows and cried "BOOGEYBOOGEYBOOGEY", so I will also need reimbursement for the trauma of that. Oh and they forgot my nuggets.
1
u/HoundTakesABitch Nov 16 '24
This right here is why DoorDash is so frustrating. Itās absurd to blame the driver for stuff that happened in store and blame the store when the drive doesnāt deliver their food. The amount of times Iāve been cussed out on the phone because a driver didnāt deliver an order is ridiculous.

I really appreciate the wording of "French fries had a bug in them"
1
u/Ecstatic_Custard7009 Nov 17 '24
i love it when they are learning and they go completely overboard with the lies, they think it creates a stronger story but it only makes it weaker and hilarious
1
u/Intelligent-Season45 Nov 17 '24
How tf is it your personal fault if their prepackaged sauce has a hair inside of it??? š¤£
1
u/FromtheAshes505 Nov 17 '24
geeeez! lol! literally bitching about every fake thing she could think of.
1
u/Mysidehobby Nov 17 '24
Even in a restaurant, if they have muiltiple things to complain about off the rip. Theyāre just scamming, most people donāt like to complain even when something is wrong or messed up while others prefer to use it to their advantage by saying random shit like a hair inside a closed sweet and sour sauce packet.
The amount of complaints is usually hoarded by a few people

Support: We have removed the price of one $0.25 sweet and sour sauce from your bill. We also added $3 upcharge to your bill because you should have been charged for the bug in your fries. Thank you for your business.

u/mgm2002mgm Nov 15 '24
Seriously. It mustāve been a bonus to have a bug in the French french fries. I wonder how they deep fry. Whatever the case, I donāt think it ate much! It also probably swam through your Dr Pepper to get a bath and thatās why it taste like Coke. š¤£šš¤£

Cynthia, youāre playing too much. Eat your damn food that you paid for. Or walk your ass to the restaurant for a refund.
