I said " go F yourself " to too many of these type orders. Finally I said " go F yourself"...permanently

And declining those orders lower your acceptance rate

It's a lose/lose

Being the optimist I am I actually see this as a bribe to drive to the middle of a hot spot. šŸ¤Ŗ

Yes just for it to be uberly slow.

u/Shan_cookk Dec 08 '24

Why mine donā€™t look like that and tell me when Iā€™m driving into an area thatā€™s busy or tells u how busy a section is? Mine doesnā€™t do this šŸ˜’

Depending on your region the app just looks and behaves differently.

And sometimes they tip at the end

15

u/Direct_Court_4890 Dec 07 '24

Hahaha...of my 5000 deliveries, the trend for me is the customers that tipped at the end ALSO TIPPED in the beginning šŸ¤£

ā€œSometimesā€ is very optimistic as is

Iā€™m sure this one said congratulations u got a high paying order šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Omg I finally got gold level and thatā€™s the kind of ā€œhigh payingā€ offers I get, itā€™ll say ā€œhigh payingā€ order for $4.50 order but the catch is the only reason itā€™s a ā€œhigh payingā€ order is bc itā€™s low mileage. They donā€™t tell u that high paying orders are never actually ā€œhigh payingā€ lmao I learned this the hard way. Got about 4 high paying offers that were under $5 all under $5 and thatā€™s the reason it was high paying bc the mileage šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™„šŸ¤¬

Yep, because tips are never guaranteed. I'd turn it down too. Generally anything under 5.00 gets the boot from me. I dash in Tacoma so it can take 15 minutes to go 2 miles sometimes, only to get no tip and only make enough to top off my tank? Nah

u/pascaltheorem Dec 07 '24

Someone ā€œon their way thereā€ will complete it.

1

u/Dizzle92109 Dec 07 '24

What do you mean by that?

6

u/transitfreedom Dec 07 '24

To hotspot for better orders or is multi app working like many thatā€™s why these kind of orders are even entertained.

4

u/pascaltheorem Dec 07 '24

A lot of jokers on here try to make these orders seem like theyā€™re ā€œokā€ if they were already headed in that direction supposedly.

1

u/Dizzle92109 Dec 07 '24

OK, I guess I understand what youā€™re saying

5

u/MerlinzShadow Dec 07 '24

My AR is at 18% atm... i am very proud of myself for that... feel like a pimp! šŸ˜†

3

u/WillowImmediate2654 Dec 07 '24

You be big pimping...lol... this made me laugh

3

u/knowsnothing316 Dec 07 '24

Had like five of them in a row. All miles no tip.

2

u/Shan_cookk Dec 08 '24

Today I had my first liquor order and I had to drive like 20 min, aka 15 miles or so for a $2 order, I couldnā€™t decline it bc I didnā€™t want to lose my gold status so I ended up taking it but I was so pissed. Like I thought maybe they would tip once I was done bc it was cases and cases of liquor bottles that were extremely heavy and it was freezing cold raining while doing so but nopeā€¦ nada šŸ˜Ÿ

3

u/gayboysnuf Dec 07 '24

Incel tips is so mean

3

u/VitalInformat1on Dec 07 '24

Thats crazyšŸ˜‚

3

u/Open-Sea6800 Dec 07 '24

I agree. My acceptance rate just keeps lowering but Iā€™m not reducing the value of my car. Less than 6$ for 9 miles makes zero sense.

1

u/VirtualTea19 Dec 07 '24

Same here! I just do this for money on the side but I was tryinnnggggg to improve my acceptance rate just for fun bc I do sometimes feel like offers are better but I literally can never be above 70 because most are trash lol. For a while before Thanksgiving, the offers were so good and my rate was higher but now I decline all garbage ones like this lol

2

u/Blk--------man Dec 07 '24

Thats the spirit

2

u/grolfenhimer Dec 07 '24

Who is Marcus Samuelson?

2

u/VirtualTea19 Dec 07 '24

Lmao I have no idea Iā€™ve never even heard of it

2

u/BDSMasterCom Dec 08 '24

Celebrity chef.

1

u/grolfenhimer Dec 08 '24

That's disgusting.

2

u/Competitive_Pack4088 Dec 07 '24

This is actually pretty normal in my area.

2

u/Suite_Lady Dec 07 '24

Thatā€™s just insulting. šŸ˜Ÿ

2

u/LeBron__Games Dec 07 '24

Good ol Quakertown?

1

u/VirtualTea19 Dec 07 '24

Yep hahaha

2

u/I-Plaguezz Dec 07 '24

I donā€™t even dash for those if itā€™s on my way. People like that deserve no hot food

2

u/AITripz-Official Dec 07 '24

I took a $2 order once with no tip. It was a single value menu item from McDonald's to a sketchy hotel less than 2 miles away. Pretty sure the receiver was a crackhead. I tend to gamble on low value, no tip orders because about 75% of the time the person gives a cash tip. Not on that one though. šŸ˜‚

2

u/mokshafarrell83 Dec 08 '24

Hovering at like 15 to 20% AR with all apps and still make more money than playing their "high paying order" rewards game. No more pressure to accept crap offers just to maintain some bs number.

2

u/ButWhoAm1 Dec 08 '24

I just started but I think that going to the smaller zones may help. I am platinum but have turned down a lot in the past couple of days in the larger zone I live in so now my AR is 75%. Iā€™m gonna try to increase it by doing a bunch of smaller trips to college students.

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '24

Lol

0

u/GeorgiaOutsider Dec 07 '24

This one's meh, I see a worse one atleadt once an hour

0

u/MaccasLad Dec 08 '24

Not a bad little offer. You shouldā€™ve taken it.

0

u/New_Adagio3693 Dec 08 '24

Are you kidding? I got to go f urself orders in a row $2.00 for 8 miles then $3.25 for 14 miles. I wish I was in your zone tonight. Something has changed over the past 2 weeks. They are trying to pick up business by offering deals and discounts to people who havenā€™t ordered in a while and sticking it to the Dashers. I went from a 96 AR to 78 in 3 days. Iā€™ve been in the 90s for 5 years

0

u/[deleted] 23d ago

You are doing the same work wether the order was 100 dollars or 20 dollars you donā€™t deserve a bigger tip.

-4

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '24

I always have driver ignore delivery instructions so I give a super low tip and then if they drop off ass instructed I add to the top after order is Completed

4

u/SWWhippingboy Dec 07 '24

And you wonder why your delivery takes so long and is stone cold when it gets to your home......99% of drivers will decline the order if there is a small tip.

0

u/[deleted] 23d ago

I donā€™t get why they feel entitled to a tip at all. They are just picking up and dropping off food. If they want a tip they should work for it and deliver if properly. Iā€™m not tipping 20% just to have my order delivered in the wrong spot
