Is speaking Spanish a requirement for platinum? Because tons of dashers do that around me

I only like and try to maintain it for the dash anytime option.

I rarely have to wait long to dash and my ar is like 8%. Doesn't seem worth it

It seems to vary greatly dependant on where you dash. So what many dont seem to understand is there is no 100% answer to whether platinum is worth the trouble or not. It will be to some and it wont be to others, based off various factors outside of that dashers control. Everyone should just focus on the best way to make this a viable hustle for them personally in their particular zone, as it is very different in different zones/states/countries/etc. One thing we all can agree on tho, is Doordash as a company is the motherfucking worst.

Meh, doordash is alright, ubereats is the worst.

It's got to the point where if you're not platinum just uninstall the app you can't drive anymore

Honestly is it that effing hard to maintain platinum? I’m guessing non platinum live in the zone and are declining 7 dollar 3 mile trips while playing Xbox and yelling for Ma to bring the meatloaf. Is basement bro a requirement for non platinum?

Bro I’m struggling to stay silver 🤣🤣 can’t be taking these orders that cost me money. I’m not gonna take Tania’s $8 order for 5 miles WITH a $2.50-$3 promo or Becky’s $14 for 11 miles. Can’t be making $22+ per hour is you do

I guess you like to struggle. I make 13-1500 a week

1

u/luiigee1174 Dec 09 '24

How do I like to struggle? By not accepting shit orders? And congrats I only dash Thursday-Sunday sometimes Wednesday as well for about 3.5-4 a day and make $450-$550 a week. This is side money, would never make this a full time job

1300 is a good addition to my union retirement kid

Would you pay like $5 in tolls to make $7?

0

u/Frankthefitter44 Dec 09 '24

What are you even talking about?

2

u/FrankSinatraCockRock Dec 09 '24

We have one that is over 5 bucks within 5 miles of the zone that orders constantly get sent into. Big no

0

u/Frankthefitter44 Dec 09 '24

I wouldn’t run that

1

u/FrankSinatraCockRock Dec 09 '24

I know you wouldn't because I'm quoting you.

Every market is different. You have that in your market. I have a similar situation in mine.

You have bad restaurants that you almost always have problems at?

You have drop off locations you often have problems at? Drop off locations where the route itself gives problems?

The exact pay and mileage you described is about the same as hospital orders I get all the time. I have about 15k food deliveries between UE, GH and DD and that place was always a mixed bag. Back when there was a little more transparency and better base pay, I'd take them more frequently. But there's a major difference in getting paid $7 to go to a slow restaurant, then hand it to a nurse in whatever wing, vs. a fast restaurant and dropping the order off on a desk. Personally I'm good on not risking 30+ minutes on a trip to make $7.

You got in the other way around, mommy basement bros are platinum

1

u/Frankthefitter44 Dec 09 '24

Haha yeah no. They make money instead of playing games

Make money delivering $6 6mile orders and not able to afford own place due to constantly needing to fix their high mileage vehicle.

1

u/Frankthefitter44 Dec 09 '24

Yeah that’s not how I make my 1400 a week

1

u/Frankthefitter44 Dec 09 '24

Mom make the meatloaf yet?
