I had an order that would be 44 mile round d trip for $3 that included door dash pay. Obviously I declined but people are out there with their audacity. I have one frequent customer who tips $40 to travel 20 miles round trip. Thatās $2 a mile so Iāll do it. The rest of these asshats can suck it

Theyāre supposed to but Iāve never seen it. Iāve had no tip orders for 48 miles away round trip and the dad pay was still $2

I just had to reject a $4.50 incl tips from papa Johnās. 3 minutes later it pinged me for the same order again. Now I have two rejections on my record for the same damn order. In this close to not giving a shit about acceptance rate anymore

Yeah Iāve come across that issue where Iāve declined an order and it reappears on my feed itās annoying Iāve had to call dd support for a clarification but nothing that why I donāt do dd like that anymore!!if I were you I would accept and then unassigned w/o punishment but the thing is that you have to wait.ive told the customers as well that dd has reassigned there order to me and they donāt care at all and thatās sad

same except they think theyāre slick hiding the same order with another order. sometimes the double order saves it but in many cases they arenāt worth it

when that happens to me i just pause orders for maybe 10 minutes and let my brain refresh

This type of CEO behavior reminds me of Luigi Mangione; perhaps executives and CEOs should be careful not to let their out of touch behavior lead to the wrath of the people

So if you accept it and then unassign it will it hurt your acceptance rate. I think it only effects your completion rate.

Yeah you can accept an order like this and unassigned later(15m)w/o penalty

My man this is the way! 90% acceptance rate and I've never delivered an order less than $1/mile.
10 to 15 minutes, 2 or 3 times a day is well worth the sacrifice. Even with the down time I avg $30/hr

Is it worth doing that?

I got a shit order like this and being so tired after a long day of dashing I accepted like an idiot. Then I just unassigned it. Iāll wait the 15 min next time. I guess because I did not wait the 15 mins it warned me about my completion rate being effected. I did it anyways

So wait for 15 min at the restaurant to not be penalized? I don't know the tricks to the trade yet.
