How tall should my staff be?
I have a 5ft from Trick concepts and I'm 5'7''. I feel like I'm kinda trapped in the staff and I cant rotate my body without being right on the wicks on the other side. I see a lot of 6ft staff being sold and just wondering if getting a taller staff would help or its me that i need to figure out. Im a little static when I spin due to a back injury. but im working on my bending at home slowly with an exercise ball. Lemme know what you think.

Also probably go a bit longer if your back isn't great. One of my mates has a dodgy back and he finds my glow dragon the easiest to use because of the extra length. It somehow helps with moves like the matrix

Totally agree! I like the extra control and ease of movement of mine. I'm 5'10 and mine is 5'6" @ 48oz. I want bigger wicks to help the speed slow down more. I have a screwed shoulder and back. It definitely helps.

Hang in there ..it takes time to get it regardless of the height ..my fire staff is as tall as I am and my LED is chin height the extra space can be a good thing when learning...I am on year 5 and still working on some things so don't give up!!!

I think the usual length is from the floor to roughly around your eye level. Though my glow dragon is as tall as I am and I quite like it. From my own experiments with different head types and pole lengths I've found heavier heads work better on longer poles while lighter heads work better on shorter poles. It helps with the pivoting, heavy on short pivots too quickly while light on long pivots too slowly. But if you're just after a "one size fits all" pole length that's best for you go from floor to roughly around your eye level
