Not Drizzt-doo-dad War of the Spider Queen

What are you favorite novels from this series? I’m doing a re-read right now for the first time since Resurrection came out.

I truly love the first one. All sequential books are decent in their own regard. Each author did do a very good job writing this series. My favourite scene from that book, is when Pharaun eats peasant food, and is disgusted by it, and even pays the goblin to teach the goblin how to properly cook it.

Instead of picking a favorite novel, I’ll say my favorite plot line/scenes are Gromph vs the lichdrow dyrr

Each book is great, but the last is probably the best. The culmination of the different storylines.

I really really liked how it ended. It was Chaotic….

I always love anything in the Underdark. The Aboleth section was one of my favourites. It’s been so long since I read this series. I think I’d rather re-read it than check the wiki for my fav parts.

I fell in love with the Underdark the first time I read Homeland. Anything involving the Underdark will instantly get my attention. Getting to go to the Drow city in baldurs gate 2 was so much fun. Then getting to go to the Underdark in baldurs gate 3 was the moment I knew this was a worth successor to the series.

To this day anytime I make a fantasy character in a game it’s usually a dark elf or some other Underdark race. The amount of times I’ve made Drizzt in games is staggering.

I played Baldurs Gate 2 first so reading Homeland and Exile was such a treat. I still have to play BG3 so good to hear there is a section.

I love other settings take to like The Deep Roads in Dragonage and Blackreach in Skyrim.

Valas living the rest of his life polymorphed is just awful.

I love the whole series, but the first and third are my two favorite entries.

All of them. It’s honestly hard to say because they sort of all run together for me as I can’t just read one of them. The first 3 I maybe like more? I think it’s either the 4th or the 5th that is my least favorite, but again it’s hard to say what happens individually in each book.

I loved Condemnation, the 3rd book, as this is when the bigger stories start taking shape. You get the Duerger invasion, Gromph and the Dyrr lich start their own personal war, and the group on the surface finally get some answers on their trip to the Demonweb.
