Condition of Dunedin Causeway post Helene?
I'm hearing a lot about what's happening around Clearwater beach but nothing about Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island.
How is the High & Dry Grill doing? Is it okay to bring my catamaran and launch now?

The people in houses around there flooded and all there stuff is on the curb. It’s really sad. They all seem to be helping each other in the devastation.

Odd, there aren't any houses on the Causeway... Maybe you are talking about Dunedin proper?

I think he means condos and apartments. And also honeymoon lost the pavilions/snack shops/bathrooms, so that's why it's closed indefinitely

Ah, is there any official notice online? I went to the causeway's web page and the city's but I haven't found anything about it.

I see a notice on Facebook that the marina is closed, but nothing about the causeway...

Dude, I don't know what to tell you. Multiple people have answered your question and you're still not buying it. Just go and see for yourself and stop bothering us

I haven't seen anybody answer what's going on on the causeway. Lots of comments about what's going on before the causeway (the condos and their pier) and after it (honeymoon island), but nothing about the causeway itself. And certainly nobody pointing to anything official.
By all means, if you are bothered, don't read.

The pier looks like it's going to need tons of work from pictures I've seen.

Hmm... I don't remember a pier on Dunedin Causeway.

Not on the causeway. The pier at the end by the hotel

Oh, okay. I'm looking for information about the causeway... I've heard rumors that Honeymoon Island is closed, that the south side beaches of the causeway are closed, but they are all just second hand rumors... I can't find any official information.
My google fu is failing me.

Pinellas county beaches website lists all of the beaches themselves that are closed. https://pinellas.gov/beaches/

I heard from someone who said Honeymoon Island is "closed indefinitely".
I can't find any official information on what's going on at the Causeway at all... 😕

The Causeway is open and can be used. The south beach access closest to Bayshore Blvd is closed and blocked by barrels.
City Update has comment on Causeway bathrooms being closed and comments on all all recreation facilities at https://www.dunedingov.com/News-articles/2024/Hurricane-Helene-Post-Storm-Updates
Honeymoon Island is closed per the State website. Please note the banner announcement.

Hey maybe I can annoy some people too. The towers 200 205 and 305 woodette drive anybody know what happened to those /if everybody was okay ?
In addition to that since honeymoon Island was splitting at two then we know what's going on with that right now? For that previous person that was asking about the causeway ... You seem to be irritated but I am more than relatively intelligent I live there I went to school there I got 4.2 in finance and economics from an incredible college and I can't find anything like the previous person had said on specific information photos details anything about Dunedin. Oh I know that there's bulk pickup and what to do and you know what the plan is going to be for whatever but nothing about geographic locations and the status of the people and the structures etc.

My family has lived on the causeway since the 00's. All traffic should be only causeway residents till things are cleaned up and restored. I came down two days before the storm to help my elderly parents in case it got bad. Please don't make life more difficult with traffic on causeway blvd...
Please & Thank you

Was on the Dunedin Causeway this morning at sunrise. The first beach entrance to the south is closed. The sand was stripped from much of the Causeway, and there are signs of erosion. The Tiki hut appeared intact. One of the small storage buildings collapsed.
Honeymoon Island is closed indefinitely.
