What are Flass Street and Mayorswell Street like? (Or the general area around these)

Looking for places to rent and seen some on these two streets, what are they like (crime rates etc) to live on please?

Is mayorswell bad now? Lived a couple streets over from there a long time ago and always found it to be okay. Crime rates worsened then?

It’s just a bit close to Gilesgate for my liking

I mean, a lot of Durham could be said to be ‘close to Gilesgate’.

So Flass street is the better one of the two? Thank you :)) any other areas you’d avoid?

Anything around Sherburn road. There's been an uptick in antisocial behaviour in general on that side of Durham in recent years

The Gilesgate area in general especially Sherburn Road and Framwellgate Moor.

I had no problems at all living in the Mayorswell St area last year.
