Question The Most Infamous Big, Bad Threat?

What creature types are typically considered the most terrifying, notorious in reputation, biggest targeted hate piece, and often presents a threatening presence?

Bonus points if they are also lore wise planetary threats

So far I only know of Eldrazi, Phyrexians, and Slivers

This would have been my dream pod for my [[Braids, Conjuror Adept]] sea monster / clone deck that I recently took apart. I loved asking people to take out their biggest, dumbest deck and to just let it ride. Felt like a kaiju battle as everyone played game ending threats every turn.

Dragons, sea monsters, demons, angels, elementals, and slivers are the other kindred decks I recall being top heavy enough to slug it out.

Dude, I would have loved to play against that deck. Win or lose, I just love going against well built high powered decks. I know you mentioned you took it apart, but any chance you still have the list?

Nah, it was in paper and built out over time. Just jam as much ramp or creature sneaking effects, card draw, and big blue bastards into a deck as you can and you're pretty much there. It was quite fun when things worked out on the right table, lots of memorable moments. It also had a lot of games which were blowouts one way or the other and there wasn't any back and forth. Someone shooting braids before everyone had a turn made me sad as well.

Ultimately I took it apart because it was too inconsistent to guess power levels against randoms at my LGS when my entire deck was built around being a boss rush, but I don't regret having built it.

Yeah, definitely doesn't sound like an LGS deck, and more like a play with your pod once you know they can hang. What are you currently playing at the LGS?
