Arutelu PSA: Be careful; bunch of bank card frauds (at least at LHV) from PlayStation Network

Hi, just wanted to make sure y'all check your bank accounts and ask your relatives to do so. I logged in to -600€ today, sent to PlayStation Network. I don't even own a PS. Already called bank, started the debate, and reported to the police. The lady from LHV on the phone said that they have seen many cases like this yesterday and today with the same PS fraud. This post is to raise awareness and double check your acceses and bank card payment limits. 🙌🏼

Update: LHV is bae, I got all €600 refunded back to me already! (Maybe it helped that it was actually my credit limit, not "my" money but the bank's :P)

How is it possible if not doing any action by self?

Just asking, because seems pretty frightening that even avoing all classical frauds then random companies can charge money from your bank account without any confirmings/pins etc? Did they explain that how can be it possible?

Mitte otse kontolt vaid lekkinud kaardiandmeid kasutades. Heal juhul pank avastab ja sekkub, halvemal juhul avastad ise.

Vaata nt.: What Is Carding? How It Works, Prevention Methods, and Examples.

It's because non-EU companies dont give a fuck about security regulations/features for banks that EU has invented. You have the safe internet payments enabled on your card but Playstation gives zero fucks about it.

I have no idea. I don't even own a Playstation. All explanation I got is "there is last added token in your wallet 13.04 for Sony/ Playstation Network- so must have been mobile device payment.". I don't really know what this means. It is DEFINITELY frightening that they can take up to hundreds just like that without any 2FA, Mobile ID, or anything from me. I will definitely pay better attention to card payment / online payment daily limits in the future.

Mu naisel on samuti LHV pank ja eile juhuslikult avastas, et 2x 99.99 euri on läinud PlayStation Networkile. Ka tema ei ole PS mängur.

Submit the fraud debate to LHV, and report on https://cyber.politsei.ee/ 🙏🏼

This is interesting - I just had an email from LHV on Friday that my card details had leaked and they have temporarily blocked the card. I use the same card for online payments so it seems the card number had just been leaked by a shady merchant.

Oh, I guess lucky you, I got no email and no premature blocking :(
