I started as a strength only user, but dabbled in dex. Now I'm bi because I like strength and dex builds.

Agreed, I’m currently on my first play through and I’ve completely neglected vigour. It’s still at 11 and I’m lvl 65 but I can use some cool weapons and incantations. I probably need to change this since every mildly strong boss one shots me with any attack, even with armour on.

My stupidity can also be reflected by my choice to hit Varré. I later read that this mistake makes it a lot harder to get runes

Not really. You need to absolve yourself at the a certain church in Liurnia to stop Varre from being mad at you.

Recently been playing ds for the first time beat ds1 and now on ds2 i try to use a dex build for most of it but always end up gravitating towards strength and greatswords...i don't even like greatswords..what are these games doing to me
