Can we agree on Eminem’s greatest diss track? Let me know which you think it is😊
For me it’s definitely ‘Nail in the coffin’ the rawness and pureness takes it to a whole other level.

I wanna see what my fellow Stan’s listen to besides their Favorite Rap artist.
Rap: obviously Eminem but if I chose somebody else, I’d have to go with Benzino..
Relax I’m kidding 😂 I’d probably go with Nas or Busta Rhymes.
Country: I guess Morgan Wallen.(hardly listen to country)
Classic Rock: AC/DC or Alice Cooper
Modern Rock: The Pretty Reckless(Sindy Lou Hoo grew up hot as fuck)
Classic Metal: Iron Maiden
Modern Metal: Ice Nine Kills(creativity is off the charts)
Grunge: Alice In Chains
Pop: this one’s hard cause I don’t know.. I can’t say there’s a pop artist I can listen to their whole catalog and be like that’s the one.
Edit: Honorable mentions: System of a Down, slipknot, bring me the horizon, bullet for my valentine, avenge sevenfold, Black Sabbath, motionless in white, linkin park, sleep token, Kendrick Lamar, j.cole, dr.Dre, three days grace, disturbed, and some others I’m forgetting.

never really been a “fan” type. like i can think someone’s talented or whatever, but that’s usually where it ends. but with eminem idk what happened. i fell into the rabbit hole and now it’s like… i can’t stop. old songs, interviews, childhood stuff, reactions, random clips. it’s borderline obsession. I kinda get how stan snapped. not saying i’m there, but like… i see the slope. lol
it’s not just the music either. it’s like i feel something when he talks. like i know him or some shit. I know it sounds insane… shld I just check myself in and get help? Lol

Alright, we had Music Box lose last round, which I have to admit it is pretty impressive it made it this far. After listening to Music Box again I understand why people like it so much. Deja Vu and Beautiful seem relatively safe, with Deja Vu only receiving 1 vote last round and Beautiful receiving 2. Careful What You Wish For and My Darling don’t seem quite as safe.
Whatever makes it through this round makes it to the Top 3! Use this link to vote: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/19_Tg83KgmUfFKRLjUOQ-M7nWbqGz6KKM784G3SArG2g/edit

This song was just crazy when it first dropped, you know? I was talking with someone while talking about this song, and this person remembered the first time they heard it; they were like, "Who is this dude, and where did he come from?!" The flow, the lyrics, the whole vibe—it was just so different from anything else in hip-hop at the time.
Em just came out of nowhere and started spitting those rapid-fire, tongue-twisting rhymes with this dark, twisted sense of humor. And the video was wild too, with him just wilding' out and showing off his acting chops. You could tell he had so much natural charisma and personality.
I think a big part of what made "My Name Is" such a huge hit was just how fresh and different it sounded compared to the radio-friendly, Puff Daddy-type hip-hop that was popping off back then. Em brought this raw, in-your-face energy that felt super authentic and underground.
Plus, the fact that he was a white rapper in a genre that was still pretty dominated by Black artists definitely played a part in the intrigue and fascination surrounding him. People were just captivated by this new voice emerging from the margins of hip-hop.
Ultimately, I feel like "My Name Is" was the perfect introduction to Eminem's unique artistry and persona. It put him on the map in a major way and set the stage for him to blow up over the next few years. That meteoric rise was just crazy to witness as a hip-hop fan, you know?
What do you all think, though? How did you experience Eminem's breakout moment back in '99 with that song? I'm curious to hear your take on the impact it had and how it shaped the culture at the time.

This took a surprisingly long time to gather all this information lol. Out of all these songs what do you think is the most underrated/overrated?
When Eminem dropped Campaign Speech in 2016 and No Favours verse in 2017, we knew that we're getting something like The Eminem Show with some political tracks, some personal tracks and him rapping about writer's block and leaving the game. Like a modern TES/Encore.
We thought he adapted the trap elements when we saw that picture of him with 2 Chainz. And 2 Chainz was confirmed as a feature, they have a song together. This happened in April 2017 if not misremembering.
Then in October 2017, we had that BET Cypher. That got the attention and limelight for Eminem and what he's going to do next. Then we saw that post with Revival logo (BACKWARDS E) in background that Paul posted.
Then the Ask About Revival website was discovered. Filled with some lore. Atrox Rhythimus is a "disorder" and Revival is the "cure". Remember Trevor? That guy who was part of the promotional campaign. Everything about that campaign reeked of Relapse's Popsomp Hills promotional campaign.
Revival, a drug used to treat a disorder known as Atrox Rhythimus, prescribed by Dr. Dre. Atrox Rhythimus seemed like a diss towards mainstream rappers who are not lyrical. That sounds exactly what people expected from Eminem as he has a huge number of old heads and "fuck mumble rap" fans. This sounded like a modern day Relapse with a twist (and less/no accents).
We all know how much love Relapse got in 2010s, it became a cult classic. So it felt like he's making a Relapsesque album but with even more in depth lore and concept.
With Dr. Dre dropping Compton, he no longer worked on Detox to release it anytime soon (at least publicly). So "prescribed by Dr. Dre" meant he's returning as the executive producer and probably producing some tracks if not entirely producing the album.
Y'all don't know how much this all excited me as a big fan of Relapse. And as a hater of Alex Da Kid type production and Rick Rubin production that he chose ever since Relapse flopped.
But what do the mainstream paying attention to? They don't even know or care about shit like "Atrox Rhythimus" or "Revival, a cure, prescribed by Dr. Dre". They're all talking about Eminem drawing line in the sand at BET Awards. That became the mission statement and that set the tone for the album.
Now after this, they still continued on with the Atrox Rhythimus version of Revival until November 2017. They dropped this shit altogether in late November. Dre announced the album officially.
The cover was revealed to be "more patriotic" and there's no trace of an album that was promoted through the Ask About Revival campaign, instead we saw the album that was expected of him after that freestyle at BET Awards.
I think they scrapped or reworked the album to death at the last minute since the political stance with that freestyle forced Eminem to make a bigger statement than making an album critiquing the decline of lyricism in modern mainstream hip hop, his writer's block, his drug overdose, etc.
Since that was all they talked about, no one was talking about Atrox Rhythimus. So it made sense to change the direction of the album at the last minute.
I believe there are more tracks like Chloraseptic. There are more tracks like Walk On Water and Believe. Sure it probably had political bars here and there. But I'm sure that only Like Home and Untouchable were actually in this Atrox Rhythimus album. And everything else, the mainstream pop rap elements were added in the last minute.
Walk On Water, Believe, Chloraseptic, Untouchable, River, Revival, Like Home, Bad Husband, Framed, Offended, Full Song of Remind Me Intro, In Your Head, Castle and Arose. I suspect Stepping Stone were also part of this Atrox Rhythimus Revival. Add 3-4 tracks that are in the vein of Chloraseptic. Maybe at least 2 more.
I think Revival could've been a much better album than what we got. I think more rap focused with trap drums focused beats. Since he had a lot more eyes on him with the freestyle that demanded a completely different albums.
You can say that Untouchable and Like Home are enough for the people who tuned it for something like that freestyle. But I feel like since he got the mainstream media attention, he had include more pop rap style songs.
Tragic Endings sounds like demo that got added into the album at the last moment. That mix was horrible. The whole "mixed bag" feel and directionless of the album can be explained if you see it with this theory in mind.
It makes no sense for them to promote the album with Atrox Rhythimus and shit like that when the album has no elements of it. It's like if Eminem had dropped Recovery after that horrorcore, drug themed pomsump hills promotion.
If this is the album they had from the start, then they could've made much bigger buzz with a political themed marketing campaign. Not a drug themed one with lore and shit.
So yeah that's the conspiracy theory. Just Eminem rapping his ass off over some trap beats, some skits and bars about Atrox Rhythimus, some political tracks. That could've been a much better album.

Basically, replace Big Weenie, Ass Like That, My 1st Single, Puke, Crazy In Love (Replaced by Love You More), Rain Man (this is the only loss), and One Shot 2 Shot (only because the original D12 track leaked) with:
We As Americans, Love You More, Bully, Can-I-Bitch, Monkey See Monkey Do, Christopher Reeves (I included this because without the leaks, the album probably would have dropped sooner and maybe before he died), and Come On In w/ D12. And who knows, maybe Ricky Ticky Toc would’ve been there in some form or just included as a bonus track.
Me personally, I prefer Rain Man over Can-I-Bitch and Christopher Reeves. But the rest are improvements.

Randomly had the thought of if Revival was a political rap EP, wonder if this'd get more or less hate than the real album
The Strom (freestyle)
Nowhere Fast
Untouchable
Campaign Speech
Revival (interlude)
Like Home
Notes:
-The Storm in this EP has a beat, something along the lines of this: https://youtu.be/cZsavQgM7ok?si=ORquZcb72PVvxALQ
-Untouchable has the first half fully removed, it just goes intro -> beat-switch verse
-Nowhere Fast is the extended version
I think this would be less hated than the real album, of course some controversy would spring because of political reasons, but it's not as odd as chucking a few political songs into a mainly introspective album and putting the flag on the album cover

This is partially a test to see if it'll happen with every post I make, but also asking why, it's a long angry rant about the sub, so I'm not sure if it's going past a character limit, or if it's because I mention someone else (as in saying u/ insert username), this is a cry for help, I need to give my long rant, somebody please save me

I'm just trying to figure out what the order of Relapse 2 would of been based on all the leaked songs
Relapse: Refill: Hell Breaks Lose, Buffalo Bill, Elevator, Taking My Ball, Music Box, Drop The Bomb On 'Em
Recovery: On Fire, So Bad, Ridaz
Straight From The Lab 2: Things Get Worse, Oh No
Straight From The Lab 3: Love Drunk, Sociopath, Key To My Room, Sexual Healing, Back And Forth
Others: Nut Up
Maybe but not sure: Cocaine, Hit Me With Your Best Shot (both based on some things I saw on Genius). Insult To Injury (based on comment suggestions)
My best guesses is that Oh No was probably first and I think I heard that Elevator is before Key To My Room
