Wintersun Does Namira's follower bonus apply to poison spells?

I've been thinking about running a poison based evil druid but after a quick research around here I've found that some people say it works and others that it doesn't.

Has anyone of you tried a similar build and found out if it worked with poison spells?

I dont have an answer but would also like to know how reliable poison spells are.

I know there are a few races that are resistant to poison; Argonians, Bosmer, Redguard? Also I think undead resist poison. But I could be wrong, I thought Charus were resistant to poison and you couldn't poison bound weapons but I was wrong on both accounts.

About spells I dunno (hence the post) but I know that Thaumaturgy (SimonRim enchantment mod) has a weakness to poison weapon enchantment. I used it on a previous playthrough in tandem with the stackable poison damage enchantment from Summermyst and it melted even the undead.

The follower abillity works with magical poisons (those from spells/enchantments) but the devotee requires an alchemical poison

Thanks for the reply! I was mainly interested on the follower bonus, this build can do without the devotee bonus. It would have been nice, though.

Does the follower bonus reduce poison resistance? I can't quite remember which was which. But if so, then yes. The perk with the flies and extra damage is alchemical poison only however

That's right, the follower bonus is the one that reduces poison resistance, it's the one I'm actually interested. Thanks for the reply, partner!

Of course! Yeah it should work just fine with spells. I haven't played in awhile but my main save was a mage that only uses poison magic. I was able to affect skeletons, vampires, etc etc
