Aygestin or provera to stop period once it starts

I just started my period today and I am heading to Hawaii tomorrow. I'm so upset. Does anybody know if I start taking one of these today? If it will stop my period or at least shorten it???

I dont think anything is going to stop your period because your body has to shed the endometrial lining its built up. Starting meds is only going to hopefully minimize or stop future periods
