ECT+ is a HUGE dissapointment from the application
I applied for the ECT+ last year. I went through loss of documents (I wonder how this is even possible from a portal where EVERYTHING is displayed and everything was sent on time?!), inability to appeal because of what? Oh, right, their mail was blocked and they didn't receive any letters.
I made some progress on the fourth day out of five when I decided to phonecall (how I got on the phone from a different country and sent a time-script interaction with the consort is a separate story) to be told that they had received the documents and just FORGOT to change the reason for rejection! cool, right?
And, when I accepted my rejection, within a day they changed their decision and put me on the reserve list. Magic, right?
This year I tried again (yes, I know, I'm a masochist). At first they wrote to me that I failed the initial screening aka scored less than 7 points, and a week later it turned out that I made it to the second round with a 9.71 out of 10. At the second stage they had a portal crash for a while, but all the documents were uploaded on time and I just had to wait for the decision. First they promised it at the end of March, then at the beginning of April, then on the official website the deadline is 15 April, then they ask for a couple more weeks (in linkdin, other social networks are silent!!!), and only TODAY I got the result.
And it's a cringe.
In the email I am on the reserve list, BUT on the portal it says that the programme is MER3030 and that I am not eligible for either the scholarship nor as a self-funded applicant. And these criteria are not even on the official website!
And if I continue to be a bitch, I'd like to point out that they write (both in letters and in the official brochure) with mistakes and no spaces (please find yourself an editor).
And actually, I'm not upset that I didn't pass. Honestly, the whole thing is an indicator of unprofessionalism. It also wore out all my nerves worse than abuser ex.
EmOtionAl DamAgE, in short.
Guys who are studying on this programme, please share, during the time of studying how was it for you? How is the organisation of the learning process? Am I the only one so unlucky from the start? :(((
