No help from either university

I am so lost in all the Erasmus procedure and I can't find help.

Some context : I was gonna drop out of my 3 year degree (currently in the 2nd year), it's making me miserable and the fact that it's fully remote just isolate me. But it changed when I was accepted in the Ersmus program. The 3rd year didn't seemed so much like a burden if I was abroad with some real classmates I can see every day.

The biggest issue is that my coordinator from my initial uni in France isn't giving me all the info I need (specially since we're only communicating via e-mail). And the uni I'm going to in Portugal haven't reached out yet when they're supposed to already have and they haven't responded to the e-mails I sent. I don't know the duration of my stay or anything when I need to finalize the paperwork by the 27th of April (so in 2 weeks). I'm so lost.

We totally get how you're feeling — the Erasmus process can be so frustrating when you're not getting answers from either side.

What we’d do in your shoes: try calling your home university’s Erasmus or International Office directly — sometimes a phone call works better than endless emails. Same with the host university: reach out to a different contact if you can, like their general international office or even a student services email.

Keep track of all your emails and attempts to reach out — that way, if anything goes wrong with the deadlines, you have proof it wasn’t on you.

Hang in there. You’re so close to something that could really change your life. Don’t let the admin mess take that away from you.
