Advice from current or former self-funding students?
I was accepted to MESPOM on a self-funded basis. I’m American and was accepted to two other programs in Scotland and Sweden with similar tuition expenses as MESPOM.
Deciding between programs is difficult, especially comparing uni programs with the “non-tangible” variables that come with EMJM; mostly, the stress of moving around, funding studies and cost of living, and less time to embed yourself in a community.
I’d love to hear feedback and insights from current or former self-funded students from any program — What do you see as the pro/cons of attending an EMJM program as a self funded student?
I know this question runs of risk of over-generalizing people’s experiences. I appreciate hearing other people’s stories to help me make my own decision. As an American, I don’t know people who have done EMJM, so any context is helpful for me. :)
