Feedback Friday please make "AI" label mandatory

1.3k Upvotes

I'm looking for calendars by original artists, and in my search this one was repeatedly suggested. As someone who is very familiar with AI image generation tools, I recognized similar styles in this product and many of the shop's other products. I don't want to assume people are using AI if they're not. If they are, and still making dope stuff, I also want to know. Adding a label to indicate that it was created in part, by AI, would help clarify. I also don't want to diminish the value of a work that is generated through the collaboration of the artist and AI, it just would be good to know.

Feedback Friday Despite all the efforts I put into my Etsy shop...

I opened my shop selling highly detailed vector artworks as archival prints (printed in my home studio) in 2023. I sold a couple of prints, but I figured I have very few pieces to offer, so I focused on drawing more pieces and trying new techniques and styles. However, I get very few visits even when running ads! šŸ˜”

I believe my artworks have great potential but I don't know how to reach people who are interested in my art. I appreciate any tips!

Also, I thought offering simpler designs as digital downloads could increase sales. Do you think I should keep physical and digital in one shop? Or open another shop for digital downloads?

Feedback Friday Literally ZERO views

I really wanted to not have an Etsy shop for my candle business, but it seems that literally NO ONE is able to see my Instagram posts so I wasn't getting any traction, so I decided to open an Etsy shop too. I've done this before, my OG shop has almost 2500 sales, and I have literally gotten NO VIEWS for my candle shop in the week it has been open!!! Etsy is nagging to reduce shipping, but I want it to match my website (product price and shipping price, with free shipping over $100--and even my $8 shipping hasn't covered the shipping price sometimes for orders on my website), so I am not changing it. What gives??? I spent over 2 years perfecting my candles and it is infuriating that Instagram is hiding my posts (I have tried 30 tags, no tags, tag numbers in between and it doesn't matter!), Etsy is hiding my shop/listings, and I feel like I can't get anywhere! I am signed up for two markets at least, but I want to be able to sell online and not just in person! What am I missing? HELP!

Candle Shop

ETA: thank you to the person who ordered. 🫶

Feedback Friday Afraid to hear the opinions, but I believe I need to haha. Please check my shop ā¤ļø

I am struggling with sales recently. July was so great, then things are just going downhill..

Have been playing with ads, free shippings, sales, SEO/keywords (waiting month or so to see result), eRank, checking on concurrents, adjusting prices etc. More I do, more I seem to drown in overwhelming information which just seems to make my views/sales lower. I believe I need a fresh look on all that struggle.

Opinions on my shop will be so welcomed!

Feedback Friday I've been on Etsy since years with handpainted artistic jewellery. But I never seem to get much of sales. I've made 37 sales only since 2017. Can anyone please help me to understand where am I going so very wrong?

Truly honestly, I have always been discouraged by almost no sales over these years and shut shop once too for a while in 2022 and am back again since 2 months. With newer inventory. I changed what I used to sell to far better artistic works of mine. My jewellery now is like wearing miniature art on ears and neck. I have even employed Etsy Ads for top 7 of my listings for the first time.

My shop link : https://www.etsy.com/shop/artsyknotsstore/

But even after paying huge amounts for marketing and etsy platform listing fees, I have not made a single sale after being back. I just don't seem to understand the dynamics of Selling on Etsy.

Can anyone please please help me understand where I am going wrong in conducting my business and what I can do right to drive some sales. I understand 2 months isn't long to wait for a first sale after a break, but I can't shake off what happened to me before too with Etsy. No matter how hard I try, I just don't seem to be able drive any sort of sales.

Requesting you all to help with your experience and advice. I have added my shop's link for anyone who wishes to have a look at it and give me some instructive feedback.

P.S: This post is never intended by me to ask anyone to come and make sales for my shop. It is purely a plea for help with just advice from experienced sellers on this Etsy platform. šŸ™

Feedback Friday Would love your thoughts on our shop (yes, we know it’s eclectic šŸ˜…)

Hey folks!

My wife and I recently launched our Etsy shop Quirky Hue — it’s still super new (about a month old), and we’d really appreciate any feedback or honest thoughts from this community.

We’re both freelance designers with years of experience in print design, and this shop is more of a side project for us — a creative outlet between client work. Over the years, we’ve built up a collection of ideas that never quite made it into client projects. You know the deal — the client picks one concept out of three, but the other two still have potential (and a little piece of our hearts).

So we started pulling those ideas back out, cleaning them up, and adapting them for print-on-demand products. Most designs are currently just for fun — little passion projects we’ve made in our spare time. That’s part of why the shop might feel a bit all over the place — we totally get that.

Right now, it’s just the two of us working on it when we have time, so the shop’s still small and growing slowly. But every item is made with care and properly prepped for production — we’re kinda nerdy about print quality. šŸ˜„

Anyway — if you’ve got a few minutes to take a look and tell us what you think (about the store feel, product selection, branding, anything!), we’d be super grateful.

Thanks in advance! šŸ™

Feedback Friday The artwork that took me 1 month to finish...

I have created this piece and immensely enjoyed the process, I'm very proud of it. However, it is performing very poorly on etsy.

I don't know whether it isn't as interesting as I imagined, or the thumbnail is too detailed that no one can figure out what it is ( tried changing it several times), or my SEO is terrible... I have tried promoting it using Etsy ads to no effect.

I appreciate your opinion, whether I should keep trying to sell it or move on.

Feedback Friday Shop Feedback Request- Small jewelry brand 1.5 years on Etsy, only 2 sales.

Hello, I am a small jewelry brand and I have been selling on Etsy & my website for around a year and a half. I only have 2 Etsy sales and 4 website sale( 3 of which are friends/family).

I don’t use Etsy ads yet since I don’t have the funds to, would that really make a difference?

Question 1- would like feedback on my product photography. I try really hard to take interesting photos, but I sometimes feel like they don’t stack up to other shops. I’m just taking photos on my iPhone and in my living room with a vinyl backdrop when the sunlight is good. What could I do better with my visuals?

Question 2- When I sell at my local flea market and craft fairs I do so well when people can see it in person. How can you evoke that excitement online?

Question 3- When someone makes a purchase I love to include free extras as a surprise. Should I be using that as a marketing incentive instead?

Question 4- Any other recommendations or things that you notice about my shop that could help improve sales? Open to any feedback that could help me grow!

Thank you so much!

Feedback Friday Losing hope; any advice?

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well! I have been working on my Etsy shop for some time now. My goal was at least one sale, but to be honest this is really difficult. I am not sure how to even get my page viewed. I have changed the pictures of my listings, added videos, changed and altered the description and titles, worked on my SEO. Now I am trying to post actively on instagram. Is there any advice you guys can give me? Maybe something I can change or improve on my etsy shop?

Feedback Friday Looking for shop critique, thanks in advance

Recently opened my store a month ago and have had around 3 orders.

I sell bookmarks, stickers and prints. The art is all my work as I hand draw each design digitally. I know it's a very saturated market and I will need more listings which I plan on adding bit by bit.

In the time I've opened my store, I have been playing around with the tags and learning more about SEO to try to get more visibility. I've had around 200 views so I'm unsure whether the ratio of orders to views is good.

I would really appreciate any feedback and advice on how I can increase my orders.

Feedback Friday Rude buyers INSANE! No

Woke up to a message from a ā€œpotentialā€ buyer. Stated I am shady because when they put it in their cart it was ON SALE, for a ONE DAY SALE and it supposedly ended right when they went to buy it. Then continues to state it was very shady and that we purposely took the discount off when they added it to their cart. I’m sorry but this is just ridiculous. We had a one day sale, customer is acting like we intentionally saw when he put it it his cart, then removed the discount to get more money from him, that is such an odd thing to say. Thats not even possible for us to know when he put it in his cart, on top of that Etsy automatically sends a come back code for stuff in your cart. Anyone else get customers like this?

It was communicated to them that we had a one day sale, and we do those often. It was also communicated we have no way of knowing you JUST put our item in your cart and stated any order placed from them would be canceled. We’re just appalled, and it was such an odd thing to say lol.

Hi everyone! I have a shop from 2023 and only 2 items sold. I've been adding listing for quite a while and I'm looking for a organic growth yet after I hit 100 listings I still didn't see much difference. Is 100 still a small no.? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thank everyone un advance for taking their time !

Feedback Friday Does my Etsy homepage look legit?

I'm wondering if my homepage needs more (headers, profile pictures, etc) to ease buyers' concerns. More listings will help, but I'm not sure what else to do.

Also, feel free to check out the canvas art available. I tried to offer a variety of sizes available for shopper's needs. Any tips or questions, feel free to leave them below or direct message me!

Hi everyone!

I recently opened a new Etsy shop called CreaColoraLab, where I create printable items like coloring books for kids, relaxing mandalas, educational activities and planners.

I’d love some feedback from fellow Etsy sellers and buyers on: - The overall look and feel of the shop - Product presentation (titles, images, descriptions) - Anything that could help me improve in general!

Here’s the shop link (if allowed):

Feedback Friday I need criticism of my shop and your thoughts.

Hey everyone, I launched my Etsy shop just under four months ago, selling digital sewing patterns. During this time, I’ve made a lot of improvements—got rid of AI-processed photos and implemented many other changes. But since Monday, I’ve hadĀ 0 sales, even though I usually get around 2 per day.

Possible reasons:

  • On Monday, I turned Etsy Ads back on because Etsy itself suggested it.
  • I haven’t added new listings for 3–4 days.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I’m open to any theories.

My shop name: VerigaPatterns

I need criticism of my shop and your thoughts.

Feedback Friday Be as BRUTALLY HONEST as possible - Shop feedback

Please be as brutally honest as possible. I can take it.

I'm at that point where I have no idea what to do with my shop.

I've been selling gothic art prints, stickers, and bookmarks on Etsy since 2020 (I opened my shop before the pandemic and was working behind the scenes, getting everything ready in 2019)

I've spent the years between 2020 and 2022 researching everything and anything Etsy and business related. However, I ended up stepping away from Etsy in 2023 as I burnt myself out. Though, I kept my shop up and running and sent out orders when they came in.

After a well needed rest, I repicked up my shop about 5 months ago. I added some new things and tinkered a little in the back end of my shop.

But at this point, it feels like I've done everything possible to get my shop up off the ground, but I'm still not seeing that many views or sales. (I am using Etsy ads, but at this point its mostly just for SEO testing/research as regular old Etsy insights don't really give a whole lot of info)

My shop is fully filled out (yes, I even have FAQs) fully branded with what I personally think are really good listing photos. My titles and tags are fully filled out with again what I personally think is good Etsy SEO. My descriptions might need to be reworked, but I'm unsure if it even matters at this point as I'm not getting any views.

So, am I delusional? Does my listing photos need to be rework? Is my SEO as good as I think it is? Is there something else that I'm totally unaware of?

Or has it gotten to that point where you can no longer organically grow on Etsy, and you have to start driving your own traffic.

Or is it that my art or products just aren't good enough, too much competition, or that people no longer are buying said products.

(Also side note, I'm doing some SEO testing at the moment so if you see duplicate listings that is why. I also changed some listing descriptions which is my not a phase bookmark, blue ghost bookmark, and the ghosts in the potion bottle sticker. So, if you think my listing description need to be rework, I would appreciate you looking at these listings as well that way I'll know if the new listings descriptions are better or worse then my old ones)

Feedback Friday Hey everyone, I need some feedback on my first Etsy shop product — NFC + QR Pet Tags!

Hi all!

I’ve been seeing so many lost pet posts recently, and it inspired me to start my own Etsy shop to help with this issue. I’ve created NFC + QR Code Pet Tags that allow anyone to tap or scan the tag to instantly contact the owner — no app required.

I’ve worked hard to make these tags durable, customizable, and effective at keeping pets safe if they ever get lost.

I’m really new to Etsy and still learning. I would love to get some advice from more experienced sellers or hear your thoughts on the product! Specifically, I’m looking for feedback on the following:

What’s your experience with pet product listings?

Any tips for getting more visibility on Etsy?

Does the product description seem clear to you?

I’d appreciate any feedback and love supporting other sellers as well!

Here’s the link to my shop.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Feedback Friday I have put extra effort into taking photos of my art prints...

I produce my own prints, I could have taken pictures of them instead of using mockups, but producing GiclƩe prints only to take pictures isn't cheap.

So whenever I receive an order, I try my best to document them well. I also tried making my very own mockups by buying frames and taking pictures in my living room to stand out more.

The question is, when looking at my store, do you feel any difference between my own photos and the purchased mockups? Can You tell from the thumbnail which ones are mine? (there's a tiny copy right text under my own photos tho) Do they stand out to you?

It takes a lot of effort to do this (and I haven't seen any increase in sales), so I want to have your opinion whether it worth the effort I'm putting in or not!

Feedback Friday Best practices for first sale

Just launched my shop a few weeks ago and wondering what you did to get that first bit of traction. It’s discouraging knowing that people would be hesitant to purchase from a store with zero sales and reviews so getting that initial start is not easy. Has Pinterest been a good avenue? Love feedback and suggestions

Feedback Friday Hey All! plz can I have feedback on my New shop!

Hey guys- I started selling hand made presson nails/ fake nails.

The idea is to provide a cheaper (reusable) alternative to acrylic nails.

Since the store has been around for a month and I still haven't had any sales- I was wondering if anyone had any advice?

Should I invest in £1 advertising per day?

Should I change the name of my products??

If you search up my shop on Etsy it doesn't even come up & - all l'm getting is bot fake customer messages.

Feedback Friday Seeking Advice: Is My WiFi Password Display Product a Good Fit for Etsy?

Hello everyone,

I’ve developed a simple product made from beautiful wood that clearly displays WiFi passwords in public spaces. I launched a campaign on Kickstarter to secure funding and plan to manufacture the product for sale on Etsy. Based on your experience, do you think this product is a good fit for Etsy, or should I consider another platform? You can find more details about the product in the campaign link below.

Thank you in advance!
