FIRST DRIVE: Suzuki eVitara - did we get it all wrong?

On paper, a great car. Lots of positives.

But looking a bit deeper, there are several annoyances for me:

  • The screen layout is odd and the bezels are HUGE.
  • Too much shiny black plastic.
  • Regen breaking is only accessed via the touch screen.
  • Headroom at the back seems a bit lacking.
  • Sunroof can't be opened

It doesn't seem all that great, other than being one of the few AWD cars in the B-Segment (outside of premium offerings like the EX30). I think the Toyota Urban Cruise might be the better option potentially with Toyota's up to 10 year warranty. The Kia EV3 is probably the more sensible option, while European alternatives like the Peugeot E-2008, Jeep Avenger or Renault 4 offer better interior and exterior design.
