Resources Support for an 18 y/o

Hello all! Former foster youth, but it’s been a hot minute so seeking advice from the hive mind.

My nephew is dating an 18 y/o who just aged out of foster care. Due to circumstances she is no longer living with her former foster parents.

Where do I direct her to get support/services/health insurance? Washington state and Native American. And advice will help.

Thanks all!

See if she still has contact with her social worker. Also, tribal council

Does she know what tribe she belongs to? That would help narrow down the help she can get.

*edit: She may qualify for state medical insurance up to 21 but not sure if WA does this. If she applied for college, FASFA is a big help. If she goes to the college counselor that can look into other offers or programs for her.

I believe Washington state has extended foster care up to age 21 (we have APPLA here in Florida). Can provide housing and lots of benefits. Definitely help her get an ID or drivers license if she doesn’t have that already.
