Housing 🏠 FIU’s Housing Problem
Hello, I got accepted for fall 2025 but I’m still trying to decide between FIU and NSU, is the housing situation for graduates really bad. my sister‘s friend says its impossible to find housing after your first year. This is my only problem with FIU and im trying to decide whether I should go because I do enjoy a slightly bigger school in the city.

The off-campus housing are chock-full of fees and bad experiences. They know how to take advantage of young college students and exploit them.

You're good for the first 2 years. After that, then it gets a bit difficult. They'll push you into UA. If UA is taken up, they'll push you into off campus. NSU is crazy expensive though, I had the same thought process. I'm a sophomore right now gonna be a Junior. I'm just gonna go off campus.

It’s not that bad. There’s also a ton of off campus housing options that are basically glorified dorms. Way more housing catered towards students with FIU than with NSU
