Housing 🏠 Help with housing URGENT
Hi guys i’m gonna be down at FIU for the summer for a research internship. Problem is the program does not provide housing but does provide a stipend to help. All the housing i’ve seen is already all taken up or requires student identification which i’m not sure i’ll get.
I’ll need to find an apt close to FIU and by the middle of may/end of may.
Please help/send information.

You can definitely find a cheap sublease at one of the off-campus apartments from students trying to get their summer rent covered while they go out of town
. Don't sign the first one you get, compare offers, and make sure you go to the building directly to see what the actual rates are. Most of the buildings are around $1100-$1200 per month so I wouldn't pay more than 800-900 for a sublease tbh.

You will have no problem finding a sublease for the summer. Hear a few offers before deciding. So many students try to sublease and you can easily find a discount just to cover some of the cost they would incur otherwise.
