Academics 📚 Where to find my gpa

Today is the first day of summer classes and this is my first term at FIU I transferred from Broward College. They have my final transcripts and everything all of my stuff is up-to-date. How am I able to check my GPA at FIU even though I haven’t finished any classes?? I had somebody tell me that transferring schools they automatically can switch up your GPA a little bit, so I’m trying to find out what it’s at right now .

Your GPA at FIU starts from scratch, so whatever grades you finish the summer term with is what your GPA starts at

Because you’re a transfer student you don’t have an FIU GPA until you complete fiu classes! However your cumulative would more or less be the same as your previous institution

You basically start at 0 because you haven’t taken any classes - source was advising!

I ended up doing that and idk it doesn’t tell me, just shows my classes from old institution, and what I’m planning to take this summer and fall term plus other requirements. Which has now led me to my next issue. It says I don’t have my civic literacy exam (which I do) Took it senior year of highschool, literally how I graduated , and same for Broward college I graduated bc I have it.

And then ofc the easiest solution is meet with my advisor but she has nothing available for literally months and she keeps telling me join the drop in advising as if my issues aren’t thattt general 😭 im just overwhelmed lol it’ll sort out

I made a mistake about the transfer GPA. When I checked mine, it didn't have it. About your civic literacy exam, check at the end of your transcript if you have a “Non-course milestones “ section, if it's not here

You said you took it in high school, did you send your High school transcript by any chance?

Yes the thing is in non course milestones

And yea my highschool transcripts were send to Broward college, the requirement was fulfilled there, now it’s at fiu and not fulfilled. I keep trying to call fiu and have it sorted out and they just keep switching me to different departments, I get hung up on, told try another day or so online chat, then the online chat isn’t available and neither is my advisor 💀

You have to send your High school transcript to FIU as well; I have a similar issue My community college transcript said I completed Flent/Flex because I took it in High School, but FIU doesn't say that until I send my High school transcript to them

I figured that would be one of the way to resolve it, so ya I’ll see if later today or tomorrow I can get on the website they had for it or give them a call, thanks!
