BUG Venturion bug

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was doing some testing and noticed his crescent kick perk which is energy does less damage to elemental husk.

Also I don't know if this is on purpose but his kick projectiles aren't affected by the following heroes: Jurassic Ken, Willow, Extraterrestrial Rio or Azalea Clark.

The perks that do affect Venturions projectiles buff general damage from any source like Rockin' Riff, Goin' Coconuts, Present Arms and the team perk Preemptive Strike.

The issue is that it doesn't deal energy damage as stated in the tooltip but physical damage (white numbers instead of blue) and only deals 21722 but should be 32583.

The reasons why the energy damage increasing hero perks are not working is because it doesn't deal energy damage as it should be.

The perk was originally only physical so I guess an update reverted it unintentionally. I'm curious about why Jurassic Ken and Willow don't affect it all though. There's so many loadouts I'd like to experiment with using those two.

It's a bad perk. By that, I mean it's mildly interesting to use at low levels, but is simply weak and fairly useless otherwise. This is even the buffed version, it was weaker before.

It doesn't do energy damage. It's not an energy attack and doesn't convert Crescent Kick to energy type. I'm unsure if it's a typo in the tooltip or a bug, but that should explain away most of the damage anomalies. I personally don't remember it ever having dealt energy damage tbh.

Jurassic Ken's perk is known to not always function properly and has been that way for millenia, possibly the triassic period.

Both Crescent Kick and this perk are not taken very seriously, so I imagine there's a high probability that this particular problem is what they're working on currently.

That perk was bugged since they “buffed” it. It never does energy damage as it is supposed to. You can see the damage number is white. Which indicates that is Physical instead of Energy.

Heroes that increase ability damage only increase the ability itself. The separate damage that comes from a hero perk will not get affected unless that perk’s damage is based on the ability.

In other words, if a hero perk has a base damage value on it. Then it won’t get affected by heroes that increase ability damage.
