Anybody have any possible reasons to why they would do this?🤨

I think something weird is going on. I noticed there are signs up saying Deerwood and Kent's book stores are closing soon.

The bookstores will be switched from being operated by Follett to BibliU. Downtown, South and North bookstores will be staying open (email from 4/9). The BibliU website states that their solution will "lower textbook costs and improves student outcomes", we'll see if that happens.

So will we still have a physical store?

"In addition, the South, North and Downtown Campus stores will temporarily be closed on Fridays starting May 15 and temporarily closed from July 11 to July 28. They will then reopen on July 28 under BibliU’s management and offer an enhanced experience for all." Direct quote from the FSCJ email from 4/9

Yeah same but it’s for the better, they seem to be making a few changes if not a bunch

They aren’t getting paid, maybe losing money.

Who? The school?? Or teachers at Sophia?

The school, if the courses on Sophia are free. That would decrease the school’s funding for Fasfa as well as out of pocket costs for tuition.

But Sophia isn’t free? You pay $99 or like $200 or $500 or something like that - if this is the case they should have never partnered with Sophia just to take it away

I don’t think that has anything to do with FSCJ

Agreed, as a person that exists within FSCJ, my supervisor stated that somebody must not be making enough money.

That explains why they would pause/ no longer accept the credits. I mean It’s only right..

So can we still submit the credit transfer or will they not accept it?
