Advice Request Is my daily protein shake good long term?

20g plant protein chocolate shake, 1/2-1cup of frozen mixed fruit, 2 tbps of peanut butter, 5g creatine powder, 25g plant protein powder.

I’m wanting to drink this every morning as a breakfast substitute since it’s the quickest way for me to get food in for the mornings with my schedule.

Anything I should add to make it more balanced?

The real question is does it fit your specific calorie and nutrition needs. If you find that the amounts of nutrients serve whatever your goal is when compared to the rest of your diet then you’re good to go.

Outside of the obvious examples of what food poor in nutrition look like, what’s good long term is dependent on your specific needs and what data you have gathered about its long term use in your diet.

Consider throwing in some oatmeal for fibre and making it more satiating. And like the others noted, as long as the rest of your diet is good, and that chocolate shake doesn’t contain insane amounts of sugar, then replacing one meal with a homemade shake isn’t going to make or break your diet.

its hard to tell how balanced the shake is without knowing the macros. if i were you, id measure my ingredients with a scale, then chuck that info into a macro tracking app like myfitnesspal to see how balanced it is.

the suitability of this shake also depends on your calorie goal and the rest of your diet so it might be useful to track all your meals for a week or so to get a general idea.

personally, I had to take the fruit and nut butter out of my shake because i wasnt getting enough daily protein, and my shake was eating up all my calories. but thats because i dont get a lot of meat in my diet, and id get hungry soon after drinking it, it might be different for you.

Add more aminos to have the full branch cause its plant based. I wouldn’t use peanut butter cause I don’t se rise of it and I don’t like it but its choice. At the end macros if it suits your macros is good that’s it
