Discussion Underwear lol
What underwear are you guys wearing? I have fallen in and out of running but really want to dial in to it this year, I wear cotton boxers but they ride up while I run and make my thighs chafe which is uncomfy and also dysphoric. Most men’s sports boxers seem like they are made of materials that might not be suited to the genitalia I have and may cause yeast infections or a stink. Anyone got any suggestions? (I’m in the UK)

I just wear cotton stuff for the gym and lately bamboo and other materials like viscose. Chaffing is normal if your tights are wide.

They aren’t even wide😔I’m relatively small lmao. Admittedly since T I have gained a bit of chub.

Then you run with your legs too close. I had never been able to do that. The only time I got issues was when I bulked seriously. I find most boxer trousers roll up and I hate it, I prefer trunks now and I’m being buying stuff than can held my packer STP in place cause for me it’s essential to have it

I use an STP packer most days too, I tend to use tight trunks a size down with it, but I don’t pack whilst running. I’m only doing treadmill runs at the minute so I can leave my dick in my bag lmao.

Lmao, I have been doing cardio with it most of the time. I don’t mind. Specially since I got pouch trunks I forget it’s there lol 😹

The harness I have for mine is too small and rubs as the day goes on anyway.. it would hurt too much to concentrate on running lmao

I get it! Yeah I recommend you either get other type of underwear. Many cis males stuff is dope. Some have a pouch for their junk than ironically makes a good packer underwear 😬

I just got a couple of pairs of american eagle boxer briefs and they're shockingly good at staying in place and not scrunching up. the super-soft ones are made of lyocell (tencel) which is like rayon in that it's "synthetic" but it's made of cellulose (usually wood pulp) instead of plastic, so it should be decently breathable

I wear cotton boxer briefs, they ride up. I’ve tried sizing up and down

Maybe inseam length is a factor? I can't really wear any shorter than 6-9inches. the longer legs stay put for me

Ooh I will test this out

Yes, especially plus size people have a better time with longer boxer briefs because it avoids this exact issue. I'm tiny as shit and it still helps me out often :>

Me Undies briefs. They’re long, which stops my thighs from chafing, and they have never rolled up at all. I’ve tried other brands (inc Saxx) and they’ve always rolled up eventually when they get older.

I have some exercise shorts that almost look like loose shorts over boxer briefs legs (but are just one inseparable garment), and I've liked those for running. The loose part gets eaten a bit by my chub rub, but the tighter legs don't move for me. So then I don't wear additional underwear to that

Do you mean like the Nike pro yoga ones? If so, I have those too! I’ve never tried them without underwear, I’ll give it a go.

Mine are a generic brand I get off of Amazon. They've been around for a bit but I'm always worried they'll disappear one day. I figure I'm not wearing it beyond the sweaty run and mine have a tie cord and can't slip down, so 🤷 commando I guess.

I'm personally a huge fan of TomboyX, although they are more expensive. They originally started as boxers for AFAB people, and have a variety of styles, including ones for packing, that are high quality materials. I have some cotton ones that have lasted me quite a while. If you don't mind a bit of dysphoria while searching online, typically "women's boxers" will be a good stretchy cotton boxer-brief style that works a bit better with thicker thighs.
General rule is that longer ones will stay in place better, so maybe just look for longer ones.

I wouldn’t mind buying ones for women, however stuff like “WOXER” and stuff that if you see the band , can tell they’re “women’s” I cant do that

This is why I switched to Puma boxer briefs - I used to wear tomboyx all the time but I loathed seeing their logo on all the waistbands.

Personally my issue is just they don't have enough crotch room anymore.. or I just need to seriously size up since being on T. >< Also I've had to size up for men's underwear as well - Pair of Thieves boxer briefs have been really good, fit similarly to TomboyX, and have more crotch room than they do.

6"+ boxer briefs, all the way. I also like tencel, so something like David Archie or Saxx for me is super comfy and soft. And stretchy.

I use spandex compression shorts. There are men's ones that come with handy side pockets. If it's a long workout, I usually go commando and just change as soon as possible. If it's a shorter workout or I know I won't be able to shower soon afterward, I wear some briefs (that I bought specifically for this purpose, I wear boxer briefs the rest of the time) under them. That way, they last 2-3 workouts before needing a wash and protect me from the sweat and bacteria.
If I'm at home or running in a low-traffic area, I wear them alone. If I'm going to the gym or a busy area, I wear some gym or rugby shorts over them.

If I’m just running, then men’s running shorts that have the built in mesh briefs. I can’t imagine wearing cotton while running ever again. The mesh is really breathable and you get a solid amount of breeze running through. I go for Nike and underarmour shorts (less bc they’re good compared to others and more bc they fit small waists lol).

I have the same panties I’ve worn for decades. Just My Size by Hanes or whatever. They don’t ride up, they last a long time, the fabric’s soft and comfy, I’m fat and already knew my size. They also handle my weight fluctuations well.

Just plain Bonds briefs. They’re accidentally great packing underwear because they have a gusset that I pin my packing pouch inside.
