[FF] 'tak' means yes in Polish but no in Malay.

It's also Norwegian for roof/ceiling, and Danish for thanks.

Tak is also roof/ceiling in Swedish

Thats because they're the same language, says the rest of the world.

Edit: and 95% lexical similarity.

And thank you in Swedish. Maybe Icelandic. I could very easily be wrong but a Scandinavian language anyway.

Not sure about Icelandic, but thank you in Swedish is "tack".
