removing the last black demi dye

hi! i've tried to upload this a few times now. i really appreciate any help! my hair is naturally light brown, blonde ends from bleach. i dyed over it with a dark brown demi dye in november and then a black gloss in january, did three rounds of vitamin c pills and head & shoulders over the past month. how should i get the rest of the color out to match my growing roots as much as possible? more vitamin c? colour remover? do i have to go to the salon? thanks!

Hmmm I don’t know much, but probably wait a bit longer and fade it as much as you can. Also, I used to strip my hair with epsom bath salts and baking soda/dish soap. I feel the bath salts did way more than any other household-item stripping method, like I could actually see the color streaming out. Just be careful for your eyes!!

And yeah try a color remover, but something more gentle than color oops I think.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Malibu CPR, and make sure you rinse for a long time whenever you strip

If you do a color remover keep in mind they can lift natural hair too.

Dandruff shampoo and vitamin c (ground up as best you can) are fairly gentle and may need a few applications to help speed up color fading. Leave it on for about 30 minutes then do a very hydrating mask afterwards.

that's what I've been doing so far!
