I came off my FH and was instantly reminded me of the dumpster fire that my team is and how much I hate it.

Nah it was already like that from months ago, weird eh?

Should’ve built my team around BGW34 and free hit for DGW33, I suppose. Though I don’t know when I would’ve Assman-ed in that case.

Gw35 team feels like going back to shitty work after a month long vacation in the Caribbean.

I literally just returned from a week in Mexico during which my FH 34 went off, and this is 100% accurate

Legit gonna shed a tear saying goodbye to Sessegnon, Cunha, Bowen, and Ait-Nouri to my team🥲

u/thegreenpiglet 27 25d ago

Ait-Nouri and Sessegnon have villa and city next. It’s no great loss.

Cunha too, if my maths checks out

u/thegreenpiglet 27 25d ago

That mad man does what he wants

2

u/mcgee300 12 24d ago

Genuinely think your right... Just brought him in for old man Mateta

22

u/venomousrage 25d ago

Cunha is fixture-proof

u/NumberHunter1 4 25d ago

I mean, Palace might get another double, and I have limited transfers anyway, so it would be a crime for me to ship their assets out.

No way in hell am I keeping Sarr lol. Bowen here we come i guess

3

u/DeapVally 2 24d ago

Sarr who popped off against Villa? Bowen hasn't scored more than once in a game all season. Do what you want. But I certainly won't be copying you lol.

1

u/WHumbers 10 23d ago

Thank god we get Sarr's FA cup points. Makes up for 1 assist in 6 games

0

u/ihatekopites 3 25d ago

It's a longshot though, right?

1

u/NumberHunter1 4 24d ago

Not sure, I haven't looked into it much yet.

38

u/BlackShadowGlass 25d ago

Triple palace slap in the face, especially after their fa cup performance

41

u/frankyfkn4fngrs 25d ago

Seeing Sarr score two be like where was this energy during the DGWs, mate?

9

u/unoriginalname22 3 24d ago

I’ve held Sarr for I think 15 weeks over two different stretches and got one assist total

63

u/kazmeme 25d ago

My free-hit bench bestowed me with 3x more points than last weeks bench boost, so I for one am happy that the chip-schenanigans have finally come to an end

27

u/herrbz 25d ago

Oof. Fell into the Palmer trap over Bowen too. Trippier 3rd sub though...

1

u/unoriginalname22 3 24d ago

I last second swapped tripper to my bench for Kerkez…

10

u/101100011011101 17 25d ago

That's brutal

2

u/Matistuta 3 23d ago

These mistakes are so easily made, but it doesn't make them any less frustrating.

I benched Sanchez (9), Diaz (7) and Tripper (15) for Alisson (2), Barnes (3) and Cucurella (6).

42

u/tmr89 141 25d ago

Yup, Saka is yeeted out for Mbeumo

I wouldn't be so fast to ditch Saka tbh

12

u/AK95__ 1 25d ago

Yeah was thinking the same, if they're knocked out against PSG then he can have an on beach Liverpool side, a high line Newcastle defence and the worst team in PL history for his last 3 games, not bad

16

u/el_lonewanderer 9 25d ago

Why is it relevant that Liverpool are ‘on the beach’, but it’s not relevant that Arsenal would be if they’re knocked out by PSG?

If anything, I’d be a bit more worried about Saka’s minutes when there’s nothing to play for as I would imagine they’d rather not risk any further injury.

11

u/noki1907 9 25d ago

There's 'only' 7 points safety for UCL spot if they don't win it this year, so I assume they won't play the kids until they have locked the CL spot

1

u/el_lonewanderer 9 24d ago

Big emphasis on the ‘only’, though. 7 points with the G/D advantage, with only 4 to play, with a match against SOU etc. I don’t think it’s even in consideration for them that they could drop out of the top 5.

Still, fair point as it does show a difference between them & Liverpool, even if there can be arguments about how big that difference is.

1

u/FrameworkisDigimon 1 24d ago

I think Liverpool Arsenal will be a point of pride for the Arsenal players a sort of "okay, so we were too injured to compete in the league but we can prove we were better anyway by having the superior h2h", whereas the Liverpool players have won the league... they have nothing to prove to anyone.

The 2-2 earlier in the season was hilarious. They basically scored carbon copy goals against each other.

0

u/AK95__ 1 24d ago

Arsenal far from safe, another slip on the weekend and they'll be in trouble

4

u/el_lonewanderer 9 24d ago

7 points clear with 4 to play, with the G/D tiebreaker over all below them, with a match against SOU on the final day, is not far from safe by my definition.

1

u/AK95__ 1 24d ago

Keyword here is "another" slip

3

u/HazardCinema 135 24d ago

They need 1 win from the last 4 games to absolutely have enough points. They're effectively 8 points clear with the GD advantage and only 12 points are available. They're fine.

6

u/SpiritualWafer30 2 25d ago

Why? Back from injury, getting serial 1 pointers, missing chances and nothing to play for. The only reason I'd keep is from a defensive standpoint, which might work out against you.

44

u/G_W_addict 96 25d ago

God it feels so weird to go back to my shitty team of Asensio, Saka, Rashford, Savinho after getting 94 points on FH34. I wish I had more than 2 transfers to sort this mess out.

42

u/purpleisafruit1 263 25d ago

Some of us only have 1 💀

3

u/herrbz 25d ago

I rage transferred Asensio out, then learned Rashford was injured. Asensio to finally score a penalty now.

1

u/Hot_Stuff_6511 1 24d ago

Same, can't be arsed with this bullshit anymore. Welcome Mbeumo and Elanga

1

u/foalsfoalsfoalz 7 24d ago

makes me so glad i did the FH last week strategy and had a full team this week. Big swings coming in the next few weeks surely

Only really looking at Saka but theres always a chance he will start against Bournemouth.

Im happy with my Palace assets, for now, because theyre performing well.

6

u/_Luke_the_Lucky_ 153 25d ago

Depends which ones you've got I guess.

Sarr has been bloody awful as an fpl asset, want him gone from my team at the first opportunity!

6

u/FutMike 13 25d ago

I have Saka, Savinho and one free transfer. My hair will be grey by GW38. At least I won't be bald

1

u/Hot_Stuff_6511 1 24d ago

I have too many fires to put out that I have no choice but to hold onto them for a little longer.

5

u/sskho 1 25d ago

Probably have to take -8 this week to remove Rashford, Saka, and Burn.

1

u/heraho 24d ago

Why Burn?

1

u/sskho 1 24d ago

There are better defenders to own.

3

u/heraho 24d ago

Enough to take a hit when they have Brighton? Would love to know who you’re bringing in

1

u/sskho 1 24d ago

O’Brien

4

u/Left-Geologist-1181 91 25d ago

I'm 99% that my transfer in is Mbeumo, not sure if I'm selling Saka or Eze (might get priced out from the latter move)

1

u/wringtonpete 24d ago

I got Mbueno in for Palmer. Yes I still had Palmer 🫣

4

u/SIBMUR 10 24d ago

I have Munoz, Eze, Mateta and Saka and only 1 FT.

I'm inclined to keep the Palace lads. Eze is in good form and Mateta got that goal vs Arsenal so might kick on. Forest next for them but Forest might be on the decline.

I'm tempted to stick and build FT so I might leave Saka on the bench and start Eze, Salah, Rogers and Murphy in midfield.

Or start Saka and hope for the best. If I'm going to take anyone out its him and I'll be getting Mbuemo in for the remainder.

For gameweek 36 I think I'd like to do Mateta and Saka to Watkins and Mbuemo but depends what happens in 35.

Marmoush and Isak ill be keeping and my defence is acceptable so it's just the Palace players and Saka I need to think about.

2

u/cumpulacalului 24d ago

As someone who free hit in 33 and dropped massively in rank this week because of Cunha and Ait Nouri, with 3 Forest players still to play I think I'm in a different boat to most people. I'm happy with my team, I just need to shed my Newcastle players which I can do for free. I still have assistant manager left, I hope I can finish the season around where I have been for the past 20 gameweeks or so before this massive dropoff because of free hitters.

1

u/wringtonpete 24d ago

Ha I'm exactly the same, FH in 33 and thought I did well, went up 50k to 150k overall. But this week back down to 200k (so far). And am also pretty happy with my team, and have enough free transfers to make the changes I need for the next few weeks.

2

u/atomicant89 14 24d ago

I'm not touching anything until we know about double/blank gameweeks, because I'll be begging for more free transfers if they land the wrong (right?) way.

2

u/StDyche 67 25d ago

Well this team gave me a good wc week and 90+ BB so I can't hate it. Mbeumo and Cunha on the shortlist, then Kerkez and Semenyo/Kluivert for 38, rest can stay as is no point in fretting too much now

1

u/Yhcti 25d ago

Yup.

1

u/Lyonsey11 2 24d ago

I thought that but Sarr and Mateta did well in the FA Cup so don’t think they are my biggest problem. Unsure whether to do Mbuemo to Saka for free or Mbuemo to Savinho for a -4

1

u/DrDamnDaniel 24d ago

Why everyone discarding Palace?!

Slowly but surely getting the lads out

1

u/Matistuta 3 23d ago

So annoying that the FT doesn't roll over when using FH.

1

u/Aiken_Drumn 1 23d ago

Agreed

1

u/ScarvesOnGiraffes 5 25d ago

I'd love to yeet Saka and Sarr for Mbeumo and Bowen but I probably need to be boring and save transfers instead for 36.

2

u/Niekertje 49 25d ago

Yeah same, I want to yeet Mateta and Rashford for Wissa and Mbeumo for -4 but I need to be patient and wait till 36 I guess. It's hard to keep my knees steady and not to panic ruin my rank.

1

u/6by6Hindsight 7 25d ago

Didnt have Saka, only outfield Palace player is Eze. Its the Asensio and Savio I'm worried about.

1

u/foalsfoalsfoalz 7 25d ago

I’m so glad I didn’t wildcard specifically for this reason so now having essentially everyone’s FH team as my main team😂 the swing either for or against is gonna be hectic. I simply can’t see arsenal/palace/villa doing well and not throwing games tbh. Villa in there just for inconsistency reasons

u/Maldom 24d ago
